Ordered these on august 3rd and paid £45 (got lucky after seeing current price). Bought to replace some really old Corsair XMS3 (4gb) from 2010. I thought it was time for an upgrade and more RAM. I would have bought some more XMS3 but at the time the G.Skill was cheaper. However having never heard of G.Skill I was a bit apprehensive about buying some, but I saw the prices of other brands of RAM and thought I would give it a go. I have the RAM installed with a AMD Athlon II X3 450 processor.
I have to say that I am really impressed with the RAM, it performs really barely breaking a sweat even under heavy loading. I do quite a lot of video editing and gaming and it hasn't even been pushed anywhere near its maximum capability.
The most Ive seen it go up to is 5GB of its 8GB max (Windows Task Manager). This was whilst gaming and about 3GB whilst video editing.
At the moment writing this review the RAM is running a stable 1.50GB and I have YouTube open as well as another 17 tabs. Just goes to show how well the RAM performs.
Not only does it perform really well it looks pretty cool as well, mines installed in a GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 MOBO and it looks great.
I would defiantly recommend this RAM, however if your considering buying some I would wait until the January sales to see if it drops in price.
