Product Description

Review

"That is exactly where the strength of Future Practice is: the book combines a moment of reflection on a wide range of proactive solutions."Gebiedsontwikkeling

"The dialogue format of the texts in Future Practice is pleasant to read and the structure also serves the hurried reader - among the 17 dialogues it's easy for readers to pick those that interest them the most." Finnish Architectural Review

4.0 out of 5 stars Future Practice - great ideas 28 Dec. 2012
By MGrev - Published on Amazon.com

This book has a simple layout and quick, short segments. The thoughts and ideas are interesting and often arresting. Rory Hyde asks good questions and does not pad the interview. I recommend it for anyone interested in architecture and city planning.
4.0 out of 5 stars Edited Urgency 13 Aug. 2013

Rory Hyde edited an interesting selection of approaches and strategies. The fabulous Sam de Groot: http://www.samdegroot.nl/; did a great job! Graphic Design and content’s fitting.
2.0 out of 5 stars BORING 4 Aug. 2015
By Adam - Published on Amazon.com

I love reading about architectural practice, especially those that are ground breaking on some level. Somehow this book managed to suck the joy out of it. It is composed of a series of interviews which come across as obscure and lacking in-depth content. The font is large and the book is short. If you are simply looking for a quick read where you find out about different practices without any real insight into how you might go about setting one up yourself, then maybe this cursory read is right for you but I found it lacking.
