You out there who have conquered this pressure cooker and managed to get the top on. I SALUTE YOU !!!!!!!!
I got this cooker for myself for christmas it's now end of March and I've still not managed to work it out yet.
I look at it every day and have another try and until now, I've got to hate looking at the thing. But I won't give up trying.

i recently purchased one of these at a car boot, the chap said "well, it's well made, it's gotta be £3"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy days, what a deal!! it is extremely well made and has a very nice finish, the front handle is a nice touch which makes lifting it a breeze. this is far superior to the prestige nakshatra i have and the lid fits a lot easier as well!!! another nice touch is the vent button, no need to get your hands anywhere near the steam when venting.

Saw this and really wanted one, when it arrived it was less than 6inches tall, the lid is eliptical so to close the lid it has to be turned 90 degrees and tipped, then it has to be inserted and tipped up and turned back, I was not impressed at all, the handle is held together to the main handle by a flimsey piece of metal. I SENT IT BACK AND THEN THE FUN STARTED, it cost me £33.00 to send it back to France where it came from, I must say that they gave me £15.00 towards postage after it had been processed by them, so all in all I paid £18.00 for the pleasure of it being in my house for 1 day, if you want a proper pressure cooker that you can put a proper size piece of mean and veg in, then please buy something else and dont lose money as I did

I live in Hampshire UK and for the books no one has promted me to write this HONESTLY. I just dont want the market of this pressure cooker to drop. I would die if I could not get the spares for it, not that I have needed any yet after two years plus of constant use. The rubber seal is quality itself and lasts forever and ever and doesn't stretch like the others brands. I really want to promote this amazing pan -well done India!! This, without doubt is the best pressure cooker i have ever owned! Unlike my previous pressure cookers that i hated seeing in my kitchen because esthetically they look cold steel and cumbersome -you know the ones i mean they have clip over teeth. The FUTURA lid goes inwards at an angle and once you get used to putting it in its a doddle (i still get a kick out of clamping it together... am I kinky or what). Its so worth persevering with becuase once closed it just looks SO BEAUTIFUL. Once you get used to using this you will NEVER use any other pressure cooker I promise you... well, thats my opinion. It not only cooks amazingly, clean lines and so smooth with no horrid weights to worry about and a lovely constant pressure. THIS IS THE ONLY PRESSURE COOKER I FEEL TOTALLY AT EASE AND CONFIDENT WITH. I've used it for cooking everything from joints, lentils, beans, rice. My spuds that i love to eat every day:- i bring them to pressure and turn my cooker as low as it goes for 4 minutes on my timer, i turn the cooker of and put the timer on for another 4 minutes and then i can take the lid of and the pressure has already gone, I do a similar thing for cooking rice etc. If you cannot get on with this don't blame this wonderful cooker as it is an amazing peice of engineering. Blame yourself for not being clever enough to use it:-))
NOW that promotion ought to be worth a free one so i can keep it as a sparel. Please FUTURA how about making one in Duck Egg Blue .. OMG I'd LOVE THAT!!:-)

This is the best pressure cooker I have ever used, very attractive and extremely safe. You can make almost anything in it, from lemon curd to pheasant - I use it for every meal. Incredibly short cooking times with amazing flavour-enhancing properties and tiny amounts of liquid required for most dishes. Comes with trivet and useful though rather dry, thin cookbook. A steamer basket would be useful but you can seek one out.

I am extremely pleased with Futura pressure cooker. Stainless steel makes it extremely easy to clean. However, I did have a problem with working out how the lid fits. Spent some time trying to work out, then had a look on you tube which clearly shows how to put the lid on. Since then I have had no problems. I have always used a pressure cooker so was quite comfortable.

I was bought this pressure cooker by a lovely friend who originates from India. I am vegan and she thought I was wasting my money on tinned beans and bought a smaller model back from India for me. I loved it, and so did my neighbour who often borrows it! I love it so much, I bought a bigger, 5 litre version, which I am finally having to replace the ring on, after 5 years of heavy use (that's what prompted me to write this review). Like one of the other posters here, I want Futura to stay in business for ever so that I can always get the spares I need! An added bonus is that the recipe books provide some absolutely fantastic and delicious recipes. The chowli curry recipe is my husbands favourite thing.
