Long version:
First of all, I got this on a deal for £36.50 which I've got to say is an ABSOLUTE STEAL. If you can pick it up around this price I wouldn't think twice about it, just go for it.
In the box along with the controller and paddles you get a case, some extra joy stock rings, the usb cable and 2 extra joy sticks (tall domed and concave) to suit.
I'll get the cons out of the way first:
Out of the box it didn't work properly with the Xbox. The right trigger didn't work at all. To rectify this I had to go on the PowerA website to update the firmware and calibrate it then it worked fine. Personally I think this is ridiculous, there's no question in my mind that if you buy an Xbox controller it should work with the xbox straight away. Another problem is what if you don't have a pc, what are you supposed to do then? I've dropped a star off the review for this very reason.
The build quality isn't all that amazing either, it's got good weight to it but it doesn't look or feel like a premium controller.
Another con is that It's not wireless but I suppose that's why it's a sub £100 elite style controller (saying that the wire is long so you got plenty to play with, plus it eliminates input lag)
There's no Xbox software for it, so you can't make any changes to deadzones etc. I'd love to see that in the future.
One thing people have said is that you can't use the mic while using the headphone jack. From what I gather the latest firmware update should've fixed this. I use a mic through my astro amp so I can't comment on it but I thought I would mention it.
Now for the pros:
As mentioned above once I got the firmware upgrade and the controller calibrated it worked so well. I set up the paddles how I have them on the elite and fired up cod, it is a joy to use. I also played a bit of Division 2 on PC and once again I loved using it. In fact it will probably become my main pc controller.
I have bought various controllers in my time including the razer wolverine, this is much better than that.
Finally, as you can see in the picture Xbox kontrol freeks for perfectly so that's another plus.
Considering build quality and it not working out of the box i'm not sure how I feel about the £79 price tag maybe 50 would be more realistic? But at the price I paid it's a ridiculous bargain. Of all the elite alternatives on the market (I've had pretty much all of them) my personal preference would be for this one.

Having owed the PowerA Fusion Pro Controller that served me well and is yet to have any issues, I decided to give this controller a shot. For £60 it was a safe bet.
I've used this controller daily for a month now and haven't seen a single issue with it. All buttons work as they should and no stick drift. I would like to note that the trigger locks aren't to great, there are 3 modes but 2 are basically the same.
The controller is comfortable, a nice weight in the hands. Doesn't feel cheap at all. The face plate is magnetic making it easier to clean and change parts. The extra supplied thumbsticks are plastic and feel cheap. However I havent any use for them. The ones on the pad are perfect for me. The case is pretty nice to store everything in if you are taking it away or storing it.
If this controller was wirless this would be up there with my favourites. This and the Spectra are the best wired controllers I've ever used. They would without a fuss on pc to. With a brake away cable if you trip over the wire is a good feature. The cable feels good quality. Shouldn't brake if looked after.
I've given this a 4/5 star only on the reason that I haven't ever tested the paddles. Yes I know that is a main reason and feature of this pad. I just haven't played shooting games for a month. Overall this is a must have controller if you don't mind it be wired. I don't regret this purchase at all.
So this controller does feel good in the hand. It feels a little heavier than than the standard Xbox One controller which is a bit surprising when you consider there are no batteries in the unit. The L&R triggers are an ever so slightly different shape to the standard controller although I prefer the shape on the PowerA.
The paddles work well and are very responsive.
The analog sticks feel better than the standard one, they are ever so slightly heavier but this gives a better level of control.
A couple of annoying things, firstly, the cable looks like a micro B plug, but they’ve put a proprietary socket on the cable so you can’t get a third party cable in there. You could probably modify one to get it in but PowerA don’t even seem to sell these cables separately so not sure what that’s about.
Secondly there is not a huge selection of analog sticks. You get the two standard ones on the controller one concave one that’s a bit bigger and one convex one that’s a bit bigger. The cost to have 2x convex and 2x concave of each size would have been minimal.
Anyway, four stars. Good product but has a little room for improvement.
