The only reservation I had about buying the XT-1 camera was whether it was too small for my large hands. I need not have feared because with this hand grip I am happy doing street photography without a camera strap; held by one's side the camera hangs securely from one's fingers with this hand grip. It also gives better control of the camera and a secure feeling at all times. The tripod screw is now directly in line with the lens centre axis and a hole in the bottom gives easy access to the battery. The base of the hand grip has a small groove running the length of each side. This is designed to accept an Arca-Swiss quick release system on a tripod. I wouldn't be without this hand grip now. I'd say it's an essential bit of kit especially if you have large hands like me.

I already have the vertical battery grip which is great, but this large hand grip is amazing. It just feels great in the hand while the X-T1 still feels small and compact which it doesn't quite with the battery grip attached.

There is something about Fuji Cameras that almost require you to 'Pimp' them out to make them more comfortable. If you are looking at this, then you have probably already done tonnes of research on Third Party grips and Chinese knock offs and you are trying to decide weather the Fuji branded one is worth the extra money....For me, it is!
I have owned the off branded grips for both my Fujis and although you can get a quite nice one for your x100 series, I have never found a better one for the X-T1.
The rubberized grip matches the X-T1 finish perfectly. It drops down lower at the front to allow for easier access to the front command dial and the whole thing fit the camera as it was intended to.

For me this is an excellent addition to the wonderful Fujifilm X-T1. |
It provides a comfortable and secure grip and a strong Arca Swiss plate on the bottom. You can reach the battery and memory cards with this attached and unlike some cheaper grips it doesn't obscure the front command wheel.

If you like the substantial grip of a DSLR but love Fuji and everything they are doing with their systems.....then treat yourself to an extra £80 worth of quality and I'm sure you'll never look back.

This is my up-date review after nearly a year using this larger hand grip. Well it's been almost a year and I went to look at buying another X-T1 camera. You really want to get the larger grip, the X-T1 is so small in the hand without the large grip. Defo well worth the higher price.

Nicely made. Provides much more comfortable and safer handling, especially when used with 1.4 lenses (as 90mm, 16mm lenses and bigger and of course zooms). Does not add notable volume to camera because it mainly extends towards the lens which is anyway longer than grip (except a pancake lens).
