Manufacturer's Description

The brilliant new Fujifilm Finepix JX350 has a 16 megapixel sensor and a Fujinon 5x optical zoom (28-140mm), allowing the amateur photographer to take brilliant photos. By matching a high resolution sensor with high-precision Fujinon optics, Fujifilm have ensured that the JX350 will deliver sharp and clear images, which are perfect for enlarging on screen or in print without compromising the image quality. Photos will blow up to A3 size without any trouble at all. Perfect for framing and creating your own wall-art or for just showing off to your friends and family, you really can enjoy getting creative with this camera.

Simple, stylish shooting.

Model looks

The aesthetically pleasing design of the new JX350 is also an important part of the appeal. The sleek and luxurious metal bodies have soft, curved edges, and come in an array of stunning colours to suit all tastes. Not only that, but the ultra slim and smooth design ensures that the camera is compact enough to slide into your pocket or handbag and carry with you at all times.

Facebook & You Tube easy web upload

The JX350 features the popular 'Easy Web Upload' function that has previously only been found on the more fashion-driven models in the Fuji range. This is a great time-saver as it allows you to sort through your photos when you are travelling and decide which ones to upload to Facebook or You Tube so that when you get home you just have to connect to a PC and launch the MyFinePix Studio software (for Windows) and they will immediately upload - leaving you more time to browse and catch up with your friends.

Never miss the moment.

Blink and you won't miss it

People often complain about ruined photos after the event, due to people blinking or not paying attention, never fear, Fujifilm is here with Smile and Shoot and Blink Detection features. The Smile and Shoot mode works by detecting smiles on faces: it will not take a picture until it detects a smile, so you're guaranteed happy shots every time. The clever Blink Detection mode warns you if you have captured an image with people blinking, so you can re-shoot if necessary.

Use Photobook Assist to store and find your pictures.

Be a star on a the big screen

The JX350 benefits from Full HD image capture and 720p HD movie capture. This enables you to take stunning, detailed pictures and videos that can be enjoyed in glorious High Definition on any HD ready television* or PC.

*To connect to an HD-ready TV, you will need an optional accessory HD Player (HDP-L1)

Playing back your pictures

The JX350 features Photobook Assist, which helps you create stunning photo books in-camera and lets you turn the pages as if you were looking at an album.

Plus if you can never find the picture you are looking for, the new Picture search tool lets you search by date range, type of photo (whether it’s a landscape, portrait, night-shot, macro-shot etc). This works using Face Recognition technology to allow you to tag your favourite people so that the camera recognises them when it takes a photo and can in turn bring up all photos of a particular person at the press of a button! Genius.

The FujiFilm JX350 and JX360 are identical models, I had the JX360.

The Good:
-Slim, small, light and attractive looking design.
-Very high spec for this price. (5x zoom, wide angle lens, good brand make).
-Good quality photos in bright outdoor daylight.
-Very fast at taking photos.
-Loads of different presets and interesting modes.

The Not so good:
-My Main gripe with this camera is its performance inside the house under normal house lights in the night time. As mentioned in the other reviews you get an orangey colour cast over the whole picture. And changing to any useful preset or changing the white balance on the camera will not fix it. (I found two ways to get reasonable colour in this situation: A) Use landscape scenery mode, or B) Turn the exposure setting to the miniumum -2 in manual mode).
-Pictures in low light are also quite blurry.
-16mp, whilst on paper its a high spec, theres no point if the photos come out blurry. But if you take it in bright daylight then it is good.
-The power button is very small, so a bit fiddly to turn on.
-Viewing angle on the preview screen is slightly smaller than other cameras.
-'Smile' shutter only works quarter of the time.

This camera is very cheap for the spec., and the fact its a major brand and looks good means that it is a bargain. BUT if you want to take indoor photos in the night mainly, it is not good at all. Definately spend a bit more.
I couldnt live with the orangey indoor photos so bought an older model canon with a lower spec and am happy.
But as long as you know the downsides of this camera and need the spec it presents then you may be happy.

Recently I forgot for a trip to Germany my Panasonic DMC FX550 at home. Since I wanted to shoot many pictures with/for my son I was looking for a cheap point & shoot camera. The offer of 90 Euro for the Fuji Finepix JX 350 seemed reasonable to me since I was in the past always happy with my Fuji celluloid cameras. I did not regret the purchase. I was shooting approx 300 pictures in Germany and many of these pics had a good to acceptable quality. I used solely the 8 MB 4:3 image mode and the Auto program setting. For videos I used the 640 pixels mode. The handling and user interface are great. This camera is very easy to use and very compact with rounded edges so that it fits into every jeans pocket without causing any discomfort. The LCD is bright enough for allowing me to work under day-light conditions. The 5 x zoom lens with a 25mm wide-angle allows to use the camera for a wide range of motives. The shutter delay is acceptable for such a cheap camera. The auto-focus is not the fastest what requires always to wait 1/2 second longer than my shooting impulse is dictating me. I needed some time to get used to this. If the auto-focus gets enough time the images are sharp and crisp. The colors are OK although I got under low light conditions slightly reddish results. Video quality is good and more than a gimmick. The face recognition works great. I couldn't figure out if there is any positive influence of the image stabilization. Since I bought the camera and used it straight away after charging the battery I did not dig too much into the settings and programs. Compared with my SLR cameras I have always a problem with the slow response of such point & shoot cameras. My FX550 point & shoot compact isn't much better.Read more ›

This is a good product. I bought it as I needed a basic camera for a low price as we go through these rather quickly. My wife, who is the camera durability tester in the family, thought the camera was good but holding it was not great. She preferred the AX250. I liked the size as it fit in my pockets well, I liked the Fuji features which make it a good point and snap, I loved the panaroma. If it was a touch faster to start up and focus, it would be a great camera. The NP-45A battery does give a good life, it's just unfortunate it's not an NP-50 as I have a pile of these from previously "killed" Fuji cameras. Don't pay more than £80 for it and you should be happy with it. It's a fun camera.

This camera is almost too small to hold safely, and the on-off button is miniscule - has to be operated by fingernail! The zoom is easy to use, but it's not obvious how to zoom in when viewing pictures you've taken. I could do this with the same zoom control on my old camera. I'm particularly dissatisfied with flash shots, which are very yellowish orange, totally distorting the true colour. I intend to test-drive another one of this model in a camera shop, to find out if it's a general fault, or if I got a duff one. I am seeking a refund.

I was mainly looking for a small camera that i could carry around in my pocket when i go away or for walks. Rather than lugging an SLR around all the time. This is much smaller than I was expecting. but is still packed with features. I haven't really had a good play with all the stuff it can do. But theres practically settings for every type of photography you can think of. and the resolution is really exvellent at 16 Megapixels. my SLR is only 12.

I'm really impressed with this camera. Although I haven't done an extensive test to see how long the battery lasts. I bought a spare one anyway it was only a fiver.
