I already own the Twilight Time edition, that was released here in the US. That release was lacking and overpriced. I gave that disc away as a gift and ordered the Eureka edition. LOVE it. Excellent quality, great extras and the packaging is way better, than the US version. Love ordering movies from the UK that are region free. You guys know what the customer wants!!

This is such a great Blu-ray Disc. The audio and video quality of the film are top-notch, and they even took the extra effort to provide the original stereo track in lossless, but the extras is where this release truly excels. The nearly 2 1/2 hour "You're So Cool Brewster" doc is worth the price alone, and there are so many more extras to dig through. I also own the Japanese release of Fright Night, and this one blows the previous BD out of the water.

The icing on this delicious cake is the beautiful coverart, which wisely utilized the theatrical poster instead of letting some intern hastily paste a bunch of floating heads together in Photoshop. At the price Amazon is currently charging for this, it really is a no-brainer for any Fright Night Fans.

That said: Come on, Eureka - get to working on Fright Night 2!

Without a doubt the reason I loved this film from the first moment I saw it was that I've always been a Roddy McDowell fan - and no, I'm not as old as you might think either! Undoubtedly, the other performances here are just as good and one cannot forget that Chris Sarandon is in the movie. If you are buying this the chances are you've probably at least seen it and want it for your collection. The only reason I'm reviewing it is to add to the other comments here - that if you have this on VHS as I do and so are wondering if it is worth getting on the DVD I can only tell you YES! Every time I've seen this movie in the past, whether on VHS or TV it has always been quite dark. In the DVD not only are you getting the widescreen version there is rich lighting in every scene. It truly was like seeing it again for the first time!

Do not hesitate for one moment to buy this film. It is truely outstanding. It includes everything that a great horror should: monsters, vampires, blood, werewolves etc.
There is also a terrific comedy theme running through as well as some of the coolest characters ever including Peter Vincent, Evil Ed and especially Jerry Dandridge (played brilliantly by Chris Sarandon).
Fright Night is an absolute winner and an essential part of anyone's horror collection.
