It feels more like a watch you get from one of those machines where you put a pound in and a plastic ball comes out with a piece of plastic tat inside, or maybe a prize from the hook-a-duck stand at a fairground. Still, I gave it a chance. I altered the links and put it on my little girls wrist for her. She promptly smiled enthusiastically, turned her wrist round to check out her new watch and... it fell off. We decided that the fastening clasp must not have 'clicked' to lock the two ends together tightly and so put it back on. This time it stayed on... for a few minutes... whilst she was sat still... and then it fell off. As soon as she was moving about the clasp would easily come undone. We ended up having to take bracelet links off so that the watch was fairly tight on her wrist to stop the clasp coming apart. This makes it uncomfortable for her and so the watch has ended up just sitting on the table.
Lego need to change the design of the clasp on their childrens watches. The current 'hook' method does not work well enough for children to be able to wear them. Lego toys can last for years and years so I really did expect something of a much higher quality than this. Especially at the price they charge for them. If I saw these watches elsewhere without the Lego branding I would not pay more than a couple of pounds for it. Very disappointing.
I've given it an extra star because of how much my daughter loves the watch, but I must now begin discussions with Amazon on replacing the watch and I'm not very optimistic a replacement will last much longer. The plastic doesn't seem to be strong enough or well enogh put together to handle the requirements of this kind of watch/band.
