Secondly, I have on a few occasions met Andy Moyle, and consider him to be the real deal. So, what did I find in his book?
The style is engaging, and almost immediately I found myself seeing clearly what had just been a vague concept before. Andy teaches with clarity. We think in terms of 'the individual', so we can easily fall into the trap of believing each of us should be an evangelist. 'Not so' is clearly the message, because we are a team. Some bring folk, some share testimony, some serve in the kitchen (or elsewhere), some answer questions, some pray for the sick, etc. and some bring people over the line and into the kingdom. The team fulfils the dream! This takes the pressure off those whose gifting is not primarily evangelistic, yet they can be themselves in part of an evangelistic team. And the method usually involves food.
There is teaching on reaching other cultures, and on bringing people into the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
This is a very readable, useful little book, full of creative and Biblical teaching and ideas. I am going to recommend it to my friends, and I'm recommending it to you!
This books reminds of the call upon our lives and we all have a part to play - "Team work makes the dream work"
This is a good book to work through in a small group, easy to read, biblically based and encouraging! #nobrainer
