From Amazon.co.uk

Seemingly low-key but as wittily crafted as the first two series, this season develops minor characters--Gunther, Central Perk's proprietor, who is in love with Rachel; Phoebe's half-brother Frank (played by rising-star Giovanni Ribisi); the chick and duck--who will play key parts later on while the foundations for crucial story lines developed in Series 4 are laid down. The most momentous story arc covers Rachel and Ross splitting up when she suggests they take a "break" and he sleeps with the girl from the copy shop. Phoebe gets to know her little brother Frank who falls in love with the much-older Alice, for whom Phoebe will bear triplets in a later series. Monica pines after Richard and then starts dating the millionaire Pete, although towards the end Chandler is trying to persuade her he's good boyfriend material--clearly an omen of things to come. --Leslie Felperin

Definitely one of the best and most exciting seasons of Friends, it's the season where Ross and Rachel are; still dating, break-up, and eventually decide to get back together by the season's end. In between lots of events take place, e.g. Monica gets a new boyfriend (Pete the millionaire) and Joey &Chandler buy birds (a chick and a duck). The season features some of the all-time favourite Friends episodes! I love the packaging! You take it out of the cover and the DVD version is like a folder. It opens up into like 6 pages with the DVDs and episodes listings. You can also choose to have subtitles (choice is from 4 different languages) or you can choose to have none.
The episodes are:
Disc 1:
The one with the Princess Leia Fantasy- Ross' secret fantasy doesn't stay secret for long after he confides in Rachel. Chandler begins to rekindle his relationship with ex-girlfriend Janice.
The one where no one's ready- Ross gets riled when his friends fail to be ready on time for a museum fundraiser.
The one with the jam- Monica tries to get over Richard by making jam but she gets obsessed. Se decides to get a sperm from a bank to have her own baby.
The one with the Metaphorical tunnel- Ross and Rachel encourage Chandler to commit to Janice.
The one with Frank Jr.- Phoebe invites her bro over for a visit. Ross makes a list of celebrities he's allowed to sleep with and one of them shows up.
The one with the flashback- Janice asks them if they've ever dated each other, they say no but they start thinking of the past (when Joey hits on Monica by stripping and when Chandler tries to make something happen between him and Rachel).
The one with the racecar bed- The 'Mattress King store' sends Monica a wrong bed, a kid's bed.

I was tidying the attic to make more room for old VHS cassettes and came across a Friends one.
I remembered that I used to like the series so re-watched it and was suitably entertained, again.
I had odd ones with no real order so decided to get the ones I was missing...,if they were low priced.
I had difficulty in watching the VHS cassettes because the picture and sound drifted all over the place.
I chose DVDs to overcome this and certainly did enjoy this old,but good, sitcom comedy show.
It's of it's time obviously but still made me laugh out loud so my enjoyment was high.
It made me check out You Tube for interviews of the cast and what they're doing today.
I might also get some of the older 'Soap' sitcom DVDs too and maybe 'the Golden Girls' too.
I'm not that bothered about the 'Cheers' series though.
I became interested in who produced these shows too because they follow a similar pattern.
Anyway, after about 10 years between viewing,Friends still has the power to entertain and provoke laughter.

I enjoyed Seasons 1 and 2 but Season 3 was the first I actually watched and it's always been one of my fave. Although there are better later on, Season 3 is a fine example of how episodes of Friends don't have to concern outrageously over-the-top situations to be funny. Much more witty than most seasons, and with the sharpest scripts, Season 3 also saw the characters being developed further and the cast also improved, quite comfortable in their roles. The women all look foxier than ever which is a bonus for us male viewers. The best episodes are the ones which focus on the imploding relationship between Ross and Rachel, the one with the football Thanksgiving game, and the season finale. But be prepared to laugh - all 25 episodes here are guranteed to tickle your ribs!
