I have recently read a book called 'Lev - a Shot Callers novel by this author so I was looking forward to reading this 'Friend Zoned' book by the same author whilst I wait for hopefully another book in the Shot Callers series as the Lev story was brilliant but I cannot believe the same author wrote these 2 books as this 'Friend Zoned' story was absolute rubbish! I couldn't even finish it all, even though I tried as it was such a naff story and was so boring and predictable and had nothing in it to keep me interested. The story is about Tina and Nik and how they become 'friends' before they actually go on to have a relationship but even their emails between each other are irritating!! Even the beginning was stupid with Tina's door bell going off in her shop with 'Rawr Raaawr as I didn't even understand what that was about at first! What's the point of that? I don't like the way the author has them talking about themselves either rather than the author taking about the character. It was so boring and nothing like the story of Lev who I believe is a cousin of Nik. Not for me I'm afraid.

I loved this book!!
Belle has created two great characters with Nik and Tina. You root for them immediately. And the whole fact that they were friends first only added to the apparent sexual tension.
Belle has also created great friends surrounding these two characters and a great plot and subplot. I hope that there are books out for them as well, as you want all of the to get their HEA too.
Definitely worth the read!

Loved loved loved the story line. I was extremely put off by the lack of proof reading. It irritated me endlessly. Lots of small mistakes every few pages sometimes a few mistakes on one page. It kinda ruined what would otherwise be an amazing book. I have read belle's other books and she writes a brilliant story, but this has ruined it for me unfortunately.

This was an enjoyable friends to lovers story featuring a good-looking former badass night club owner and a woman who owns a dress shop. Both are adamant that they don't want a relationship so they decide to be friends.
The first 60% where they are both secretly dealing with their growing attraction for one another was my favourite part of this book. All their friends became friends and it was funny, sexy and a real page turner.
My only criticism was all the drama - it was a little OTT for me. There were two crazy exes plus a rogue mobster coming between them resulting in several 'will they survive this?' moments that felt like overkill. So much of the story was good because it felt real and the OTT drama kind of spoiled that but it made for an exciting read I suppose if you like that sort of thing. I would enjoyed this more with a little less drama though I think.
Tina also was a little too good to be true at times as was Ceecee - far too angelic and damned nice to everyone. She makes cakes for her new friends within days of meeting them - her new friends being the badass former gangsters - and tells them she only makes cakes to give to people not to sell because she puts a litle of her soul in each cake. They were in tears at that. I would have been putting the cake down and slowly backing away. Anyway, she was a little annoying but not enough to put me off the book.
Recommended for anyone who enjoys sexy friends to lovers stories, but I preferred Willing Captive to this one.

What a fab find, it was an amazing read. Drama, comedy, friendship, sadness and love. Fab characters, Nick is a sexy hero and Tina is adorable. Lots of tears, swooning and laughter. Would recommend this book to all who love a good HEA. Start of a series but is a stand alone with no hangers xxx looking forward to ghosts story next

Another sweet love story. This is about a girl named Tina who has had her heart broken and doesn't want to go there again and a man that isn't interested in relationships because of past women only interested in his money and status. There is a bit of kidnapping and shooting.

It was a GREAT book. Loved Nik.... In fact i loved all the characters and a very interesting addictive story will be reading Nat and Ghost's story. One of the best books I have read in a while. Would recommend.

Where to start... Tina started off sweet and then was just annoying. She cried over nothing, the idea that she is so affectionate with everyone is ridiculous. I spent most of it cringing and ie fit worse the more I read.

I don't recommend this book. it's reads like it was written by a fifteen year old.

The story sounded like it would be good but it was completely disappointing.
