A seriously under rated series here in the UK. It is about American football in a high school at its core, but it is so much more. A story of a small West Texas town, its people and their almost religious love of Friday night high school football.

I am writing this review to echo another handy hint from another reviewer. As the PAL versions of this series are not available in the UK, I went to Amazon France and ordered seasons 3,4 and 5 at a much cheaper cost. All you need to do is make the correct audio language choice at the beginning.

very underrated series. even if you're not into american football like my girlfriend you can still enjoy it. well written and acted and i especially like the cinematography. even though it was sent from america it still turned up very quickly. excellent service.

As a Brit I didn't really think I'd get in to this series (American Football, come on) but it was recommended by a friend so I thought I'd give it a try. I was hooked by the second episode and now I want the full series.

It's an interesting look at small town America and their love for this sport. The best thing about it though are the immediately compulsive characters and the quality of the acting.

Buy the series, you won't be sorry.

This is another amazing season from this fabulous drama. Came back to Season 3 after a bit of a gap and really enjoyed it. Great to see the kids mature and move on towards the end of their High School days. Really looking forward to Season 4.

I really enjoyed this series - I watched Season 1 to 3 back to back. Although not as good as Season 1, this season is a vast improvement on the strike hit season 2 with storylines at least making more sense.

It's a real shame this series is not more common in the UK as viewers are really missing out on a quaility show. I had to hack my DVD just to watch it!

The extras are not as much as previous seasons with a few deleted scenes and one commentary on the finale.

Yet again this season stands on its own. This is probably my favourite season but it is also a very infuriating season since a few of the major characters leave for college. Other television shows would have come up with ways to keep them on at the expense of the quality of the storylines but FNL doesn't do that. And although I'll miss the characters I wouldn't want them to come back just for the sake of it. Yet again Connie Britton excels as Tami Taylor. All in all it is a very satisfying series. Can't wait for season 4.

My wife and I started watching the first series and were totally hooked. My son and daughter also think it's brilliant. My daughter and her boyfriend hold the record, 5 straight episodes - it's that addictive

You can usually never beat the first series of these kind of shows but I think this does keep pretty much to the standard. Skips over some story aspects at the beginning which I won't spoil for you but I think it has a bit more emotional punch than series two, which also had some pretty wild story lines for some characters. Overall this is a great series if you like sports based dramas and has a nice mix of adult and coming of age aspects to the characters lives.
