HASH(0x8eea2da4) out of 5 stars I'm in FRENZY 10 Feb. 2016
By cristieAll - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I received an ARC in exchange for an Honest Review...

I finished reading Frenzy 2 days ago and I can't get it out of my mind.. I NEED to know what happens next!! Frenzy is an Amazing start to what I'm sure will be an EPIC series by Casey Bond. How can you go wrong with a story that has both Vampires and the Infected in it.

The Colony has a treaty with the Vampires who have sworn to protect the humans from the infected in exchange for allowing the vamps to feed off of them.. The treaty is in jeopardy though. People are being killed.. But by who? (I would definitely love to know.)
Porschia is forced into the rotation because of her hateful mother.. (OHHH I hate her..) She has now caught the eye of more than just a man and they all want her... Saul, the human.. Roman and Tage, both Vampires.... Who can she trust.. (I'm trying to figure that out) With things getting more dangerous by the day, Porschia will have a choice to make... One that will change everything..

I can't wait to read the next book.. I have so many questions and theories rolling around in my head..

HASH(0x8f4775dc) out of 5 stars Really needs to be edited for consistency. 2 May 2016
By Caitlyn - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
It's an interesting story idea that I hadn't read before. Overall it's well written. But it REALLY needs a content editor. There were repeated examples of the book contradicting itself. For example, a married couple is introduced and they flirt with each other - him saying that he can't wait to see his wife wearing pants again when they go hunting (women typically wear dresses in this community). This is where the main character gets the idea to wear pants on the hunt. Then she shows up wearing pants and the married woman is wearing a dress. The vampire "guard" gives the married woman a hard time about it. So the main character got the idea to wear pants from the married woman, but then the married woman forgot to wear pants herself? It makes no sense. This is just one example, later in the book, the main character mentions that she changed back into her dress, she is then attacked and her attacker rips her pant leg. What pants? She clearly mentioned that she was now wearing a dress. Honestly, I don't pay a ton of attentive to descriptions so it's surprising I even noticed this - but each time the author made a point to draw attention to what the character was wearing, then contradict it. During the attack scene - it honestly completely pulled me out of the story which was incredibly frustrating.

HASH(0x8eea509c) out of 5 stars Vampires and zombies make for a good read 13 Feb. 2016
By Genesis - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This book started off interesting and only got more interesting as it went on. Porschia lives in a post-apocalyptic world where vampires and zombies, or rather, night-walkers and Infected, are the norm. She's mistreated by a mentally ill mother who prefers her sister to her and when Mercedes doesn't come back from a hunt, all the blame falls on Porschia, forcing her to take a whole new role in the community.

There is a treaty between the vampires and the humans of the Colony, keeping everyone safe and happy . . . until things start to fall apart. This is one of those books where you keep looking at how little remains and wondering if you're going to get a satisfactory ending out of the mystery that definitely has some twists and turns. Fortunately, there is some closure at the end, but you're left wanting more anyway!

I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series as it comes out.

HASH(0x8eea52dc) out of 5 stars An amazing beginning to an awesome new series! 14 Mar. 2016

I can't believe how much I loved this book! I really had no idea what to expect but Frenzy honestly blew me away.

Casey L. Bond breathed new life into some tired themes, and I was quite literally in a frenzy to devour Frenzy. It was a vivid, detailed, wonderful story of heartache, struggle, and love. I l adored Porschia, I wanted to throttle her mother (that woman!), and I loved the tender moments Porschia shared with her father and brother. Oh, and Mrs. Dillinger? My favorite!

Let's not forget the men in this book (and honestly, it would be impossible). Saul is tender and strong and protective without being an alpha, which was incredbily refreshing. I normally root for the bad boy but I am cheering for Saul. By the end of Frenzy, I was in love with Tage, whose struggle to cling to humanity broke my heart. And Roman? Smoking hot and dangersous as hell. There is a bit of a love triangle in these books (sometimes more like a rectangle) and I normally can't stand love triangles, but this one wasn't annoying because Porschia's feelings are always defined and we know who she wants to end up with.

I will say that it takes a little bit of time to fully grasp what is happening. What is a rotation? Why does Porschia wear colonial-style dresses? Why would night-walkers help the town? But just stick with it. Everything reveals itself by the middle of the story.

The writing is fabulous. The dialogue is smooth and authentic. The world-building is fantastic; I could see everything clearly in my mind. And the emotions that the writing evoked were abundant. I think I highlighted half of the book's words because they were either funny, poignant, or just simply gorgeous.

I can't recommend this book highly enough!
