I read Fran Warde's column in Red Magazine religiously and have used her menu plans for Christmas etc with excellent success. This book simply reporves what I already knew about both authors - they are incredible. I shake the hand of whoever's idea it was for them to work together!
however, you need to get the companion book 'The French Market', with both of them you don't have to actually visit France to experience eating genuine french food with great flair and taste. Highly recomended.
JH has managed to do what no other cook book/relative/friend/foe has managed to do. She makes me want to cook!
