If you're wheat intolerant or ceoliac, this doesn't makes a lovely loaf of bread - even after some experimentation. It always came out somewhat err... different should I say. Perfectly edible, just not what you'd call 'bread'. I used it with a Morphy Richards bread maker which doesn't have a dedicated gluten free programme, but still seems to come out okay. If you want to make a 'proper' loaf of GF bread though, I'd definitely recommend Doves Farm's BREAD flour. This Plain White Flour is best left for cakes and pastry, for which it's great. And when you consider the extortionately expensive cost of shelf-bought GF products, this is very, very good value.

I ordered this flour in anticipation of my Celiac guests for Christmas. I had tried baking gluten free cakes and biscuits in the past without success. Years ago it was necessary to add xanthan gum to bind the flour together and even with it, I'd had disastrous results.

Baking with Freee was easy. I used it as a thickening agent for rues just as I would use regular flour, achieving the same result without altering the flavour. Baking did require specific gluten free recipes, however, in baking a birthday cake, ( post Christmas) baking powder was the only additional dry ingredient required for a moist light cake.

Delivery was speedy and the packaging was secure. I'll likely finish the remaining flour even though my guests have departed.

In these unprecedented times it became really difficult to get gluten free flour so I was pleased to find I could get this from Amazon. I have used this flour before for all sorts of baking and even making chapaties. If you are gluten free I would recommend this flour as you can substitute it in normal recipes with minimal tweaks for lovely results
