About the Author

Laurelin Paige is the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. You can connect with Laurelin on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LaurelinPaige or on twitter @laurelinpaige. You can also visit her website, www.laurelinpaige.com, to sign up for emails about new releases and a chance to win a $100 Amazon Gift Certificate in a monthly drawing.

I absolutely loved the Fixed trilogy and Hudson so when I found out this spin off series was coming out I was super excited to see where Laurelin would take me with this series and I was very eager to get into Free Me.

I wasn't at all disappointed when I started reading Free Me. You remember Gwen from the Fixed Series from when she comes to work at the Sky Launch with Alayna and her sister Norma works for Hudson. That's about all you get from Fixed but that opens the door for Free Me. At the beginning of Free Me, Gwen comes across as a very strong, independent woman that is cold and closed off from her emotions, which she has learned to hide extremely well due to her past and troubled childhood, but is happy with her life as it is with her only real relationship being with her sister Norma who she lives with. Enter JC.... After swapping a shift with a colleague to a night she never normally works she meets Mr Tall, Dark and Mysterious and there the story really begins....

This is a sizzling story and from the moment JC makes Gwen an offer she can't refuse, it gets hotter and more mysterious the further into the book you venture. I absolutely love Gwen and watching her learn to live with emotions in her life again. JC teaches Gwen many things throughout their arrangement and slowly you see her lower her walls.

This book had me totally hooked from the beginning and I loved stepping back into the Fixed world only this time through Gwens eyes. There is so much heat and chemistry in this book that I am surprised I didn't get burnt while reading it!! But there is also drama and secrets and so much more along the way. I can not wait for the next instalment as I can't wait to find out what happens next after THAT ending!!

Oh yes this was fantastic, you get that same feeling reading Free Me as you did reading the Fixed Trilogy, all the secrets and the general feel of anticipation are very apparent.
I found myself thinking back because Gwen was mentioned towards the end and we knew she came to work for The Sky launch but we didn't know the real reason why, I thought it was all very cleverly written and laid out, the timing etc, and all this with Gwen and JC was before Fixed..
Laurelin Page has this wonderful gift with being able to portray with such ease the natural flow and chemistry between Gwen and JC almost every conversation they had with each other came across so real, the scene at the Market for instance was just brilliant.
You could feel it all bubbling under the surface and you are desperately trying to work things out, wondering what it is with JC, your certainly kept on your toes that's for sure.!
There are lots of stand out moments and as the story came to an end I couldn't help feeling so disappointed not in a bad way but because I just wanted them to be with each other, they hadn't even exchanged names or numbers, I was going mad, anyway the invertible happened and with Gwen back home and ready to start at The Sky Launch and you realise then the situation between Alayna and Norma was still tense because it was still at the stage were I'm sure there were still issues and misunderstanding going on between Hudson and Alayna, the story lines were colliding beautifully and everything fell into place, absolutely brilliant.!!
All I can say is JC better come back and Gwen better be waiting for him but I'm sure things will not go as smoothly as we as we are hoping.
Please hurry with Find Me, I need to know..
Thank you for another great series ..!!

....oh lordie lord!

I loved the fixed trilogy and absolutely adored Hudson so when I seen this spin off, I knew I had to read it and I can honestly say - I'm so glad I did!

Gwen is Norma's sister who works for Hudson from the fixed series and she gets the job from Alayna to be co-manager of the nightclub. We're told in that series that she left Eighty Eighth nightclub and we know there's a story behind it, well this is the story and a damn good book it is!!
It can be very graphic when the sexy scenes compared to the fixed trilogy but its still good!

JC has so many secrets that you just can't wait to find out about, Gwen needs him to help loosen up and they both are complicated, fearful and tense but also in dire need of some love and who better than someone as messed up at you!!

Loves it, can't wait to read next one!

Another winner of abook for sure.
After meeting Gwen in The Fixed Trilogy I have to be honest...I so didn't warm to her and this book was a slow build of the best kind.We get to meet Gwen initially and Norma and this is where you get to understand both characters more, the clever part? Well I actually liked Gwen very quickly and this I'm sure is simply down to the brilliance of Laurelin Paige and how the book is written, slowly drip feeding us with the parts of their lives that made them the way that they are now.
Then we met JC....did I like him to begin with...No but did I love him by the end....Yes even though I wanted to throttle him too at times!
JC & Gwen were hot together and I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve and change direction even though it did appear at times that it may never happen for them but when it did I was a happy girl...for a while...
I didn't guess the twist either but I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop...you could feel something coming and I did feel pretty heartbroken and a little enraged towards the end......
I cannot wait for the conclusion to another amaaaazing book!
