I do not think I have to write anything about how cool it is, if you are viewing this item, it is already obvious.
There are 2 tiny quirks I have noticed:
- Sometimes it leaks a bit, so you will either need to trim off the unwanted parts, or just practice further.
- When I face it on my plate, it looks way too cute. And, there is no other way into eating it, than making a decision whether I am cutting off its ears or legs. I just feel so sorry for the little birdie... ;-)

It is well designed, and made from quality materials. But it can be tricky ensuring the egg albumen doesn't leak where it isn't intended. There is no doubt it is possible - but be prepared to make several 'roadkill' eggs before you master it.

However, it is a spectacular way to serve eggs, and children love it!

I've often eaten fried eggs and thought to myself, this meal has something missing, this meal needs some kind of connection to my favourite nocturnal animal. Now I can combine my love of fried eggs with my love of Owls, a dream fulfilled!

If you buy medium supermarket eggs, this is fine, if you have 'proper' locally sourced eggs that tend to have much bigger yolks, they can be a bit big for the eye holes. The first time we used this the yolk built up so much pressure it exploded out of the mold.

Drop the egg slowly into the mold you need to get the temperature right...What are you using gas or electric? Also for them that cant cook egg ""All you do is place aluminium foil over the frying pan so it cooks topside...Don't people know how to cook egg??? 😂😂😂😂

Really cute..... but when we used, the egg yolk doesn't get fried and if you keep it in the frying pan for too long or on too hot you burn the egg white. So design needs to be adjusted..... but cute idea

Unfortunately, no matter what I did, it leaked egg where it didn't belong. I tried hot pans, warming the pan with the shape in it, with butter and without. I have a yellow one in the shape of a smiley face which doesn't leak and is the same material. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

This egg mold is a bit harder to use, than the sunshine mold. I have tried this mold several times and I'm yet to get it to look like in the picture. After spraying down the mold with non stick spray, you have to try to pour your eggs at the same time (if you do one at a time it doesn't look right) then push down a bit on the mold to stop the white from running out. Then IF you get it to look somewhat right, it moving it from the pan to the plate. And if your able to do this and it still holds it shape make sure you put the eggs on the plate first or your just running into another problem.

Takes a bit a practice for something that might turn out right. :)
