“For me the finest landscape painter of his generation.”
“Fred Cuming shows how the artist's imagination is necessarily engaged, where views lack certainty and objects rarely stand alone and complete. A unique temperament, touch and vision.”
Christopher Le Brun, President, The Royal Academy of Arts
“Fred Cuming - an artist I admire without reservation. His paintings breathe, his eyes see fresh days always.”
Bryan Kneale RA
“Fred Cuming's haunting, vaguely Turneresque, painting, Ferry to Polrwen, combines great subtlety, especially in his skilful representation of a lowering sky, with an end-of-era feel, strongly redolent of Turner's own masterpiece, the Fighting Temeraire.”
Andrew Walker, BBC
