About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller

Hello, my name is Eve and I am a Canadian author who loves to write hot romance. I possess a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor which tends to heavily influence my stories. I enjoy strong alpha male heroes, and shifters. Lots of big, overprotective shifters that need a strong woman to temper their wild side--and unleash the lover.

I love to write, and while I don't always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a happily ever after.

The sixth book in the Freakn’ Shifters series is an intriguing erotic romance with two sexy shifters.

Cougar shifter, Patricia recruits two mismatched shifters to help her catch the person killing shifters in prison. Imagine her surprise when it turns out they are her mates but there is a problem with that, she’s already been mated once before and she’s has no intention of caring again. Stu is a techno geek and a wolf shifter and Ricky is a reformed criminal and panther shifter when both are forced to worked together to catch the killer, they soon learn that they will have to do more than tolerate each other when they realize that the hot cougar is their mate.

There is lots of tension, both suspenseful and sexual, in this fast paced plot. The author makes the reader feel as if they are part of the story with vivid imagery and intense details. The action scenes are believable and get the adrenalin pumping and the suspense keeps the reader guessing. The compelling characters are strong and charismatic, easily related to and grab the reader’s attention and don’t let go. The chemistry between Patricia and her two mates radiates from every page, but the tension builds as she tries to resist, and the sex scenes are hot and steamy with sexual language, MFM, and anal sex scenes. The reader can certainly empathize with Patricia as the emotional turmoil that she feels regarding her mating capture the heart.

The author has created a fantastic world of shifters that captures the imagination and that sizzles with passion. I love how she has the shifters interacting in the human world but they remain hidden and I was very impressed that she took two totally different personalities and immersed them in the story adding depth and spice to the romance. I haven’t read the rest of the series yet, but I will definitely be remedying that. If you love shifter romances then this is a definite must read.

Another great write from Eve Langlais. I never get tired of reading this series and, after a second read, really liked this book. I had to read it twice because the cover picture/image stuck in my mind and unfortunately kind of put me off the female lead (hence the four not five star rating).

The story is enjoyable and the squabbling between the two male leads is fun. The inner turmoil suffered by the female lead over whether or not to allow herself to love the two men is both understandable and sad.

Can't wait for the next one, but please chose the cover photo carefully!

I loved this book, so much humour, some of the chart chemistry and great action! I loved all the characters and how they interacted! I was hooked from start to finish and laughed so much although there were some emotional parts as well, mostly to do with Patricia's past and her struggle to let Stu and Ricky into her heart when she's already lost someone she held very dear before.

I love this series of books - Freakn' Shifters, but this book will not go on my favourites list like the others. Really didn't like the cover (the female lead looks like a German dominatrix). Really liked that the lead female was older though. You get fed up with reading about 20 somethings.

I was looking forward to the next instalment in the Freakn' Shifters series, and Eve Langlais didn't disappoint.
As well as an excellent plot, the epilogue ended with a teaser for the next book. Bring it on!

I have to say that unlike the other book in the series the cover put me off a bit, yes I get that she was a cougar, in both shifter and age sense but, having now read the book cannot help but feel it does not, for me anyway, resemble the female lead contained within the pages. Yes she is older but in the book she is described as being late 30’s being able to pass for an easy mid 30’s.

Anyway, now we have my issues with the cover out the way to the story itself. I’m not sure why but I just could not warm up to Patricia, who we had already met briefly in Already Freakn’ Mated, or to Stu, one of the many brothers of Naomi from book 1. Ricky however I loved. Bad boy reformed, dirty mouth, tats, shifter… you get the idea!

There is someone going into prisons killing the shifter inmates and covering it to look like suicide. This is where Ricky and Stu come in. Ricky for his brawn and criminal past and Stu for his computer hacking skills, and mildly criminal past, are placed into one of the prisons yet to be targeted to try and figure out who is killing the shifters and, with the help of Patricia, also undercover but as a guard, capture them.

Only problem is that they are mates, all of them. Coupled with Patricia having closed off her heart due to the death of her mate years previously, fate couldn’t have been so cruel as to have given her another chance at heartbreak, and with two younger men to boot?!

The sex scenes in this are just as hot as the books that came before this and I love that we stay within the same family. The story is a good one and my only reason for having taken away a star is for the fact I just couldn’t bring myself to like two of the characters.
