HASH(0x9cea2abc) out of 5 stars A Must Have 21 Jan. 2005
By Coffee Talk Girl's Café - Published on
I received this as a gift and I have to say that I am very impressed. There are times when you want to be able to quote a verse from the bible, but you just can't remember how it goes.

You can then type in words that you know that are in the verse and it will find it for you. Then you can mark it and save it in your book marks.

It also has an organizer to keep track of names, phone numbers and addresses.

What a great gift for anyone that wants to learn the bible or for those who want to remember verses for those special times.

It comes in two versions (King James & NIV). If you want an easy to read version go with the NIV.

All will be blessed by this gift.

HASH(0x9ce3363c) out of 5 stars Excellent Item and Very Quick Handy Reference 29 Nov. 2003
By A Customer - Published on
I have owned Franklin's KJV Electronic Bible for years and am searching for one for my minister brother. When we're referencing scriptures on the phone, while he's talking, within seconds I've located where it's found with my electronic Bible. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO REPLACE IT! I LOVE IT'S USEFULNESS! Also, when I don't feel like "wagging" a larger one to church, this one fits right into my purse.

HASH(0x9ce334ec) out of 5 stars Good Item To Have But..... 4 July 2006

Since I have had this electronic bible, which has only been a month, it fronze up on me twice. The reset button didn't work so the only way I could clear the screen was to take the batteries out and put them back in again.

HASH(0x9d017d38) out of 5 stars Nice try Franklin!!! 7 Nov. 2009

I bought this at a local bible book store. I was so pleased to see that it saved phone numbers and personal info on top of being an electronic bible. The bible portion of this unit is awesome. I could not ask for anything else as far as ease of use and convenience goes.

I started saving various numbers and bits of info. and then I shut off the device and put it in my pocket.

Later on I pulled out the electronic bible from my pocket and turned it on only to discover that all of the data that I saved in the device was gone. I was baffled at first but eventually I realized the problem. This unit is so cheaply built and is so flimsy that the device bends/buckles. When that happens it causes the batteries (2 button style: CR2032) to lose contact with the unit's battery terminals hence causing the saved data to be lost.

If this thing was constructed of better material that did not bend this would be a home run. But the cheap plastic case is nothing like the Franklin products from twenty or so years ago. The new style case is so cheap it has Made in China written all over it. Franklin needs to tighten up the design of the case. The use of higher quality materials that would stiffen up the case and make it less bendable would be a good route for them to go. Something that has heft and that is sturdy would be great. I do not think the price would go up much more if they used a better material. Just a thought Franklin.

So the bible portion of this device is great. I have no complaints there. My complaints are with the cheapness of this device. It is so flimsy that it does not justify a price of more that $10.

I admire Franklin for the things that they do and make for consumers but the cheapness here is an insult. I regret wasting hard earned money on this cheap thing.

HASH(0x9cfce6e4) out of 5 stars Outstanding product for any Pastor 21 Dec. 2007

Verified Purchase
This electronic book is like carrying two much larger books to every speaking engagement. It allows you to look up any word or phrase with something not much bigger than a credit card. And, my eyesight is very poor - this is very easy too read, and can easily be set to three different type sizes. You can also check the time very discretely.
