Good detailed book for those new to book keeping or for those working as a book keeper with a lot of unanswered questions. Goes through everything you need to know when running a small business. The questions are easy to go through and there are a lot to give you practice on how to get it right. The book mostly teaches manual skills although computerised layouts and systems are explained. An easy to read workbook and a handy reference book too!

I bought this book a few months ago as I am starting the AAT foundation course in September. I know a bit about accounting but was clueless about book keeping. I found this book really helpful and easy to understand. It has given me a headstart for when I do start studying. And I would recommend this book to anyone who is studing for an accounting course or setting up their own small business.

I got this book as it was suggested by my teacher and I have to say that as a suppliment to the course material I found it useful. I have to also stress that I had already studied Bookkeeping before so this really was revision for me. It is a book that I can look up something quickly for reference.

The 3 best things about this book:
1. The exercises are what I found most useful during my Level 1 Book-keeping. They followed the same format as the practice exam paper questions. Note that not all the exercises have answers but you get to a stage where you know if you got it correct by the final figures.
2. It is layed out in nice 'bite-size' sections that are easy to read.
3. When I start Level 2 this book will still be equally useful.

I researched other books on Amazon before I bought this and I am glad that I chose this one, I recommended it to fellow students and they agreed with me.

This must be the fourth edition of this book Ive bought over the years. Ideal for Lecturers and Students. I'm returning to Accountancy after 20 years and wanted an up to date textbook to practice with. This fulfills this need. Very quick delivery and good condition for a secondhand textbook.
I rate this Seller AAA+++

I originally bought this as a direction for custom creating materials for my own students; but now I have this as the recommended text and so many students have feedback that it is invaluable. Used to support city & guilds book keeping and accounts levels 1, 2 & 3 and AAT

Fast delivery and as described. Cheaper because it is an older edition, but works great to introduce my sons to accountancy by pacing myself to content only. The only negative point is taht the book has an unpleasant mouldy smell.
