Firstly I would like to say that this is a brilliant patio heater at a reasonable price, and the heat production is really good. Unfortunately my unit has a couple of defects but based on the reviews maybe I was just unlucky.
Assembly was straightforward, especially with two of us, however once o had assembled the gas potter holder and attached the centre post I noticed that it was not straight - at all! After I looked further, thinking I had done something wrong, I realised that the weld between the centre post and it’s screw bracket was just terrible, and the two parts were not welded straight.
It took a significant amount of force to bend everything to a point where it looked straight enough, and I continued on with the assembly.
Next problem was with the base of the burner where it bolts in to the centre post. Undoing and then redoing the bolts from the burner was enough to mangle the thin and cheap metal in a way that means the burner is only barely attached to the centre post, any wind or movement makes it wobble like anything.
I’m really disappointed with my purchase, especially when I read all the other brilliant reviews. All in all the product is excellent, but whoever was on quality checks that day obviously wasn’t paying much attention. Still. Ok value for money especially with cover.
