So this is the 5th debt release from the Indebted Series by Pepper, and undoubtedly an emotional ride through hell !!!!! Pepper certainly knows how to keep you on your toes, this book is just brilliant.
This follows the Hawks/ Weavers. The Hawks are in keeping with a 600 old tradition of the first born Daughter of the Weaver family should be made to pay certain debts and they decide what they are. They are cruel and evil and their final intention is death.
Nila Weaver is an inspiration, a strong passionate woman, not about to give up the fight easily, she falls in love with Jethro who Is the eldest Hawk Son. Things get mighty complicated and you wonder when reading this, how can people be so vile, so cruel, so evil is beyond belief.
I was holding my breathe through most of this book, and just when you think things are turning around for the better, WHAM !! Pepper hits you again with another blow. You ache for Nila, you hate the Weavers, you are praying for things to take a good turn for a change. Do they, will they?
All the Indebted books should be read to gain the full understanding of this story, but what a story it is. The books are dark and Pepper makes no secret that each one ends on a cliffhanger. I am now champing at the bit for 6th and final Indebted book, which cannot come quick enough for me. A amazing, brilliant story, wonderfully written, and full of passion, hate, love, angst and more !!

Well well well,
I found this one quite interesting but also repetitive. The author has a habit of slowing things down and repeating the same things but with different words so I found myself skipping over some bits.

It's hard not to say much without spoiling so i will just say that it is worth the read and the ending was great.

Hope the next one doesn't take too long!

Not as impressed with this as the other books. I skipped a lot of the first quarter of the book as it did not grip me like previous books. However I decided to keep going and it did get more interesting, now we have to wait months for the last one!!!

This book picks up right where the last book left off in the aftermath that had to be the worst cliffhanger in the history of cliffhangers.

Pepper has added so much more in this book, the addition of Vaughan and Jasmine have a more pivotal role and the Debts pile up and get more and more cruel as the book read on.

Pepper has this knack of drawing the most unbelievable of plots and has you gripped to the words that are so poetically delivered you feel all the emotion of Nila and her torture at the hands of the Hawks and respect for her attitude towards the evilness pushed her way, her strength is just astounding and you actually feel that she is real when reading this book. Cut, Daniel and Bonnie are just pure evil and I was yelling at my kindle whilst reading how sick they really are, yet it made for brilliant reading as Pepper loves to create these twisted characters.

I am amazed that this book is still snowballing and with each volume the story gets better and better, our understanding of all parties is growing and my love for Nila and Jethro strengthens the more that I read and in all honesty I'm dreading the final instalment as I know it's not going to be an easy book to read if this one has anything to go by.

Fourth Debt (Indebted #5) by Pepper Winters
4.5 stars!!

“I will kill them. And I will dance on their graves when I do.”

I think this was my most anxiously awaited book for the past few months especially after how Third Debt ended. I desperately needed to know that all was OK in the world of Jethro and Nila. As sick and twisted as this series is it is like crack and I cannot wait for my next fix.

What a tangled web we weave Ms Winters, just when I thought I had seen it all Pepper Winters side swipes you once again. Allegiances, unexpected alliances and friendships are at the forefront of this book, the tides are turning but the trouble is, is it too little too late?

This book starts where Third Debt finished and we are left with the emotional fall out. I had so many tears, Pepper Winters nails the emotions in this book, and I felt Nila’s pain in all its glory. It was raw, it was gritty, it was palpable, it was emotional and it was totally consuming. Every cell of my body radiated with Nila’s grief, I had goose bumps with every scream, it really was that overpowering.

“Love was what ruined me the most. Love was the ultimate destroyer. But no matter how much I tried to let go...I couldn’t.”

With Kes and Jethro out of the picture Cut, Daniel and Bonnie really ramp up their emotional and physical torture of Nila, there are still debts to be paid. This seriously turned my stomach and as painful as it was to read and imagine you couldn’t help but turn the pages. I don’t know if this makes me sick and twisted but Google seriously became my friend or maybe my tormentor as some things just cannot be unseen.

I have to say I love the premise of this book as it now becomes both of them fighting to save each other.

Bonnie is beyond evil and Cut is led by hatred. Daniel gives me the creeps but I love Jasmine (she’s her brothers rock and wants the debt to be torn up too) but this story is not for the fainthearted. If you can’t cope with gory and dark themes. You’re in the wrong series. This book made me feel for them both but at the same time, I was so scared that there might be an HEA.

Pepper’s writing is amazing. I’m so glad I discovered her words, I will read any future dark series or anything that she deems to write because regardless of the fact I didn’t feel very comfortable throughout the series. I did love the creativity. The imaginations. The emotions. It was Pepper’s story and it didn’t lack of emotion, it poured it onto the pages.
