The FUSION allows access to many electronic functions. Lens firmware, focusing motors, and age of lens can affect the speed, reliability and accuracy of the adapter. Also on the adapter is an Iris Toggle switch to adjust the aperture from the adapter to directly control the lenses aperture. This FUSION has a micro USB port for firmware updates making it possible to include new lenses and solutions for possible bugs. For firmware updates and directions, please see the Tech Support Knowledge Base on the Fotodiox website for more information. Fotodiox Pro adapters are designed with precision tolerance that creates a gap free, no play connection, no adjustment needed, backed by our 24 month Fotodiox . Compatible With: Various MFT Cameras Note: Will NOT work with Black Magic Camera systems. Autofocus may be disabled for older Canon lenses and some third-party lenses (Sigma, Tamron and Tokina lenses). Third party lenses like Sigma or Tamron lenses have more issues with auto focus. Auto Focus can be slow or even not function with varied model lenses and even different lenses of same model. Longer focal length lenses tend to have more issues with auto focus with the auto adapter. Not all Canon compatible lenses work equally well, dependent on: internal lens motors, firmware versions, lens age, etc. Continuous AF and video AF are not supported as performance may be unsatisfactory. Switching between image and video can cause camera to freeze. Switching f-stops in video mode can cause white flashes in video. Certain video modes can cause the camera to freeze.     After a year or so, I've edited this review to add a 5th star.

    I'm using the adapter with Canon lenses on an Olympus camera. It works fine with all of my Canon brand zooms. AF is not great with the 50/1.8, better close up but poor farther out... needs a good high contrast target to focus on.

    This had been my original comment: [[The bad news is my big 150-600mm Tamron zoom, which I was really looking forward to using on the OMD. With this lens, the AF function don't operate at all. So I wouldn't recommend it if you're using aftermarket lenses.]]

    As it happens, I bought a second Tamron 150-600 zoom after giving the first one to my daughter. The second Tamron 150-600 works fine on the Fusion adapter, all functions work. So my advice above is a bit conditional - there may be issues with SOME aftermarket lenses, but my experience with the adapter has been excellent with both the Tamron and all of my Canon zooms. There have been a couple of occasions when the AF would lock up - this is fixed quickly by either turning the camera off and on, or by turning and relatching the lens bayonet, and it has not happened often.
