Product Description

The Zoom SLR Camera Covers are one-piece, wrap-around neoprene cover that stretches over the lens and self-secures without buckles, snaps or zippers that will scratch your camera. The cover is a soft pouch that provides protection for your camera body while in storage. The form fitting cover protects against dust, moisture and impact so there's less concern when putting it in a large camera bag full of other items. The cover is reversible from black to gray and will fit Full Size DSLRs and SLRs with a battery grip attached, and Zoom Lenses (See Specification for length).

Fotodiox Neoprene Zoom Camera Cover Sleeve/Travel Case for Nikon D70, D70s, D100, D200, D300, D300s, D700 w/ Battery Grip

First of all bear in mind we are only talking about a £10 cover here.

I needed something to protect my camera when it is loose in a bag with other items (last week I managed to break a rear screen protecter).

I have a Nikon D700 with extra battery grip, and a Nikon D7000, plus a variety of lenses.

Fast delivery from USA, and first impression when opened are 'What a strong chemical smell!'
Hopefully that will fade with time!
Basic neoprene, and looks like tough stitching, with Velcro patches roughly sewn on to end of wrap parts.

My D7000 is fine in it, even with a large 8" lens (70-300mm Zoom)

The D700 however is very tight, and with some parts exposed around the camera strap fittings.
It will not fit in with the extra Battery grip fitted, as it says it should.

Summary;
1 Star removed to less than 100% protection for D700 and incorrect description.
4 Stars for cheap.

HASH(0x9c8cd258) out of 5 stars Better than nothing, but not big enough! 25 Nov. 2013

I have the Nikon d7000 with a 55 - 300 mm lens. Really isn't big enough for the camera even though they said it would take a lens up to 8" that is not really true. Just received today and I have stretched it out so I can close it, but it is not a great/easy fit. I have looked extensively and this is the biggest neoprene sleeve I could find. Just returning another Flexarmour sleeve that was supposed to fit and did not and started tearing as soon as I put it on first day.

I use the Fotodiox sleeve for transporting my Nikon D300s with battery grip. It fits well, is easy to use and provides a layer of protection when placing the camera in a bag with other equipment. What more can I say?

HASH(0x9c6feccc) out of 5 stars Not as described... way too small 11 Aug. 2014

I must have received the wrong size? Plastic packaging has a label that says, "Fotodiox Neoprene Camera Sleeve Large For Nikon." This thing is tiny. I suppose if you have an undersized DSLR with small or medium zoom lens. Product description says it will fit 3.5 to 8-inch lenses. My Nikon 18-200 lens is 4-inches long and it would seem that this sleeve is long enough to accomodate it, or something a little larger, but definitely not an 8-inch lens. The real problem is the total length of the sleeve is not nearly long enough to accommodate the camera body, and this is with the battery grip removed. The photo shows the sleeve fitting nicely around a rather large looking Canon camera body with battery grip attached. I bought this to work with the battery grip and there is no way this sleeve is going around the body with the grip attached. It'd be like a professional wrestler trying to put on a 5-year-old's pants... it's just not gonna happen. I'm terribly disappointed and will be returning it shortly.

As an aside... I am borrowing an eerily similar product from a friend, which is what turned me on to this product in the first place. Seems like all of these sleeves are mass produced in China and then various companies put their labels on them. The one I'm borrowing is substantially bigger (over 2-inches in overall length) and works just fine with my camera (without battery grip). In fact, it fits just like the picture of this product (although no battery grip attached). My borrowed sleeve has a generic tag which says "Camera Cover" where the one I am returning says "Fotodiox." Otherwise, I'd bet they were made in the same factory.

It's just too damn bad you can't order based on specific dimensions. I have a different one on the way, but unfortunately it seems to be coming from China and will probably take at least another week or two to get here.

I order the cover to use on my Nikon D5200 with a added Neewer Pro Battery Grip. It fits the camera with my Nikkor 55-300 Lens perfectly. I am very happy with the purchase.
