Wow, I am seriously loving this game. I wasn’t overly fussed with the 5th and 6th versions. They were ok. But Forza7 for me hits the right spot. It’s an awesome game, with lots of tracks and tons of cars to work towards. Some of the old F1 legends cars are incredible fun to drive and couple the game with a steering wheel and bam, a great driving experience. I really like all the open wheel cars in the game but there are a lot of different and most awesome race cars and road cars to choose from. The weather system is amazing, You might start out in a race with some sun and a bit of cloud, after a few laps it can all change and it’s pouring with rain. I really like this dynamic approach to the weather. Trees and such still look a bit flat, I imagine one day they will be blowing in the wind as you race by and to be fair as you are tearing down the long straight coming into the curve parabolica in Monza I doubt you need trees to be so graphically amazing when you should be concentrating on the road anyway, they just add a nice dimension in the peripheral view. One thing that really blows me away is coming into the Nurburgring F1 pit straight in full wet weather. The lights of the buildings are so realistic and I’m only playing this on a standard Xbox. Must be awesome on a Xbox X with a 4K tv. Personal opinion is this game rocks and I would recommend it for sure if you like the Forza games.

I had done a review before after playing on HDR tv, it was really great, now I decided to play it, but now I use a projector with no HDR, and this changes my whole review and rating

GOOD
- A lot of cars, really a lot
- A lot of tracks
- Realistic driving, at least way more realistic than forza horizon
- Way more fun than horizon 4
- Challenging, choose no aids, put AI on expert level, enjoy
- It has a huge and great campaign
- No radio during racing, as it should be
- Dynamic weather
- Good audio, cars and menu music all fitting

BAD
- calibration is wrong if you don't have HDR, no way to fix it, developers do not care, people have complain about this for over 3 years now, this alone means this game has no change of rating over 3 stars, its broken
- Why do I start out the game already with over 30 cars in my garage? It takes out the fun of buying and having to earn money to buy cars
- I cant see which position I finished on a previous championship
- When buying a car, it takes long to load the designs
- Why do cars come already upgraded, half the fun of old gran turismo and forza was to buy parts and upgrade, that is now gone, everything is automated
- Mods, why does this even exist? Is this a motorsport game or a teenage play at cars?
- Game starts with 3 unskippable races, why? Just let me start the campaign from 0
- No licenses, that's what I loved the most in GT
- You can progress too easy, don't have to complete half the events
- AI is too aggressive, very unrealistic, even when I switch it off from the menu
- When starting a race it doesn't default to my chosen view, cockpit until 2 seconds before starting the race

PS - If developers would fix the calibration I'd raise the rating to a 4 stars, even tough it is a little too late already.
With that said, I will not purchase forza 8, no matter what, I wont be fooled again by the paid reviews like IGN.
I will wait until forza 8 costs 15pounds maximum. Shame, had they fixed forza 7, I'd preorder the next one.

With that said, this is still the best car game ever, because competition has bigger issues, example GT has a terrible campaign, far too easy licenses, no dynamic weather, not enough cars, no rumble triggers, no cockpit on some cars, not enough damage model and so on.

First off i must say I've been a die-hard Gran Turismo fan up until now, so i went in to this game hoping for just an XBOX equivalent. Unfortunately this game doesn't live up to the PS alternative. First though, the graphics are fantastic, ultra-realistic without going overboard on reflections. Also the driving physics are very good once you get used to it. However the main gripe i have with this game is the gifted cars - I have put about 5 hours into this game now and am on the second stage of races and I've still yet to buy a new car. This is because the game constantly gives you new cars for completing certain races or leveling up, Porsche 918, various GT race cars and hot hatches have been given to me so far. So if you're looking for a game that has a feeling of progression and that each race is useful for something other than moving to the next then look elsewhere. But if you just want to drive some cars round a nice looking track then this is your game.

FORZA has been a system seller for Xbox for a long time and having so many iterations now you know you are getting solid gameplay. Where in the past maybe it was a little to clean in its look.this time it has moved on and visually the tracks are up to standard with the cars.
I am not a full on sim driver so cannot say how well it replicates the fine details of driving and set up, but for someone who enjoys a good race which goes beyond arcade driving this is excellent

Forza 7 is all about the graphics. Looks brilliant, dynamic weather is seriously impressive but it's lost the original Forza feel of buying a low spec car and earning money to upgrade it and earn your way through different cars. There seem to be far too many cars for the number of races in Forza 7. It hasn't stopped me working my way through the races and it is an enjoyable game - I'm just struggling to see where the fun will be once I've completed all of those. I haven't spent a lot of time on the other game modes so the longevity may be there. I still have old Forza games (3&4) that i've spent many hours on and are still less than 50% complete.

I am a big Forza fan so got this when it was the latest version. Love the graphics and they look awesome in 4k on a big TV. Gameplay is good and the usual for Forza. Although not so keen on the many trips to Nurburgring and the painfully long laps. Plenty of game modes to make it last a while with some online racing to try, although the usual issues apply with multilayer racing games and first corner pile ups or rear end smashes.
