Life changing events are abundant in this sweet and sexy novel. It is steamy without the main characters having what the public assumes would be wild rock and roll drugs and sex. Oh sure, they play their part in this story, but it is so much more.
This is a story of independence and growth, strength and finding oneself. Each time it seems as if progress is made, obstacles rear their ugly heads. Even when selfish people aren't necessarily trying to create trouble for the protagonists, their greed and desire for a moment of fame hurts Darcy and Grace. This is also a novel of forgiveness.
An entertaining behind the scenes look at the business world and how love often has its own agenda.
I accepted this book to review. The opinions are my own
Meet Grace Storey, wants out of her small town for three reasons.Work, better cellphone service and find her Prince Charming. That seems shallow, but Grace is a strong young woman who has depth.
Fate puts her in Darcy's way.
Darcy Fortune is the leadsinger of a famous rock band. He wants three things from life too. but his manager and label have other ideas.
They meet and worlds collide. but then they create something beautiful. Something worth fighting for. And both have a fight at their hands.
I liked the story, the writing and the characters. Fortune kept me well entertained, I give 4,5 stars. Thank you, Lauren K. McKellar.
