About the Author

Camille Bateman Haight, was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. She was born the fourth child in a family with eight children. “I grew up in a loving home full of great people. My parents taught me great things, among them was first a love of God, second a love of family, and third a belief in honing and using one’s talents.” From a very early age her father taught her a love of literature. She was encouraged to read books on her summer vacations, and write a book report on each one. Her father pushed her to learn new vocabulary words regularly to further her foundation. Her grandmother also had that same love of classic novels and poetry she read to young children at elementary schools and loved to read to all her grandchildren. Her love and influence just added to Camille’s fondness of good story telling. Her love of a good story can be seen within each chapter of her books. “A good story should pull at you from within, and bring forth a bond between you and the Characters as if they truly are you best friend or most hated foe. A good story will make you laugh out loud, or have tears slipping down your cheeks. A story should feel real, and engage you on every level,” Says Camille. Today Camille lives in southern Utah with her husband and young children, where she continues to pour herself into her stories. “I will write until I have nothing left, or until my fingers give up on me.” She said, knowing that for her, a good story is at the core of so many of life’s memorable moments.

4.0 out of 5 stars Engaging!! 25 Jan. 2014

I got this book free and have not read the others in this series, but the book is a complete story on its own.

An enjoyable array of paranormals grace the pages of this novel making it a pleasure to read and delight in. There were a few unexpected twists and turns enough to make the plot stimulating.

If you like reading intriguing stories about witches, werewolves, mages, and demons, this book will keep you engrossed throughout the reading journey.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was okay 20 Jun. 2014

It left a lot of questions unanswered. I really was expecting to find out more about Colette and was only given a smidgen after 95%

In the story Colette is a damsel in distress who has forgotten her memories and is being chased by various paranormal creatures for unknown reasons. Cade enters here as the hero. His team, sidekicks, Avengers, or Justice League consists of 1 charming old man/lawyer, a witch, a country cook, and their family. Together they band together to protect/ train the damsel. Then the brother of Cade (Jarett) enters the story and we learn very little about him because his story takes place in the sequel.

Perhaps Jarett will be willing to share his cameo with Colette so that readers may have a conclusion to this story. I may or may not read the next book to find out.

**On a positive note. The action and the Lyken/werewolf idea was awesome.
5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!! 25 July 2013

A supernatural who can't remember who she is, where she's from, or what her powers are...on her journey to discovering who she is, she finds people who are willing to risk all to help her, and those that are desperate to destroy her.
WOW! I really, truly enjoyed this book. It was very original and had an amazing storyline. It's definitely a GREAT read for Paranormal readers. Quite frankly, it was refreshing to read a fantasy book that didn't concentrate on a love story (though there was a some love involved, of course).
It's everything you can hope for in a Paranormal book; action, magic and supernaturals!

4.0 out of 5 stars Too heavy on detail 12 May 2015

One of a few free books I've read to the end. It is written very well. The characters are developed expertly. I gave a four star rating because I felt too much emphasis was paid to detail. The plot was little weak as well. I won't read the rest of the series.

I purchased this book on July 17, 2013 and I finished it today. In a word it was awesome. In a few more it was well worth the read and I cannot wait for book 2 to come out. It left me wanting more.
