I adored the path that this book has set off on, the journey that Brooke has undertaken and the reasoning behind it.
But be warned, you will be aghast from the prologue – Yes, it really is that sort of read!
The story centres on Brooke and the fact that her Grandmother could see that without a decisive push she was never going to give herself the opportunity to spread her wings and fly.
So her Grandmother takes things into her own hands and sets the wheels in motion. One letter, One dying wish and this young lady is living a life that she would have denied herself but so needed to participate in.
Paris is the key to the new Brooke, the woman that can finally take control and allow herself to shine, to make her music and to experience everything that her life and love can be.
I loved the fact that she has own agenda, her own plan and now that she is in the city she is ready to embrace what it has to offer.
And what exactly does this spectacular city have to offer?
Well she finds out that it has plenty but most of all she find Dylan and from that fleeting glance on the metro, so much more is born.
Their story is complex, it has so much going on and what transpires between them is just a singular vein of the narrative that is thread through the story, is enchanting, but it is bordered by a broader picture. There are a multitude of emotions that penetrate the story and help it to both ebb and flow.
The love story that is woven around them is both delicate but encapsulating and the tale is certainly evocative. It is chock full of laughter and joy – but tinged with just a smattering of sadness and a slice of mystery.
I loved the relationship between Brooke and her best friend, Lindsay, the joy between them was delightful and they were both so funny.
As a first book, I was hooked, I can’t wait until the next book is released next year.
A beautiful book set in a beautiful place I fell in love with the story and characters. Be warned though this isn't a standalone and therefore does end on a cliff-hanger and I really do mean a cliff-hanger that will have you screaming at your kindle. This is Brooke and Dylan's story. Their attraction and spark was electric and its based around some real emotion and a rollercoaster of a journey. I wish the second part was out now as I really want to find out what happens next.

N.A. Alcorn amazes me more and more!! Brooke and Dylan's story is funny, sexy, and full of music!!
When Brooke's beloved grandmother, Millie, passes away, she finds herself reliving the trip that Millie took many years ago- a trip to Paris. Millie was one smart cookie! She planned everything from the places she would go and the food she would try. It's all on the Bucket List.
I love that Brooke was so connected to her grandmother. She listens to everything she tells her to do from beyond the grave. What she didn't expect was to meet the one person that would completely flip her world upside down and a meet-cute so funny it should be in a movie!!
"I want to get drunk off his smile and have a million of his smile's half-British, half-French babies. His full lips make me think of French kisses, which lead me to think about him naked again. I'm hopeless."
That's right!!! Dylan, oh Dylan!! He's half-British, half-French, but allllll kinds of sex on a stick!! Did I mention he's a musician? Cause, yeah, he totally is! Right from their first conversation, you can feel the attraction through the pages.
Heck, I was head over heels for him and I know he's fictional! :P
What started out as a cute back and forth flirtation turned into a hot and heavy relationship that couldn't be denied! But this story had more than just the sex appeal. There was a whole other dynamic of friendship, grief, secrets, and music lingo that keep me turning the pages.
"Dylan is the kind of man that magnetizes, entrances everyone in his path. He makes you want to know every detail about him. And I want to know, I really want to know."
Like I said, this book has so many musical references and I loved every bit of it!! The chapters are song titles and so many songs grace the pages throughout. Also, the nicknames "Little Wing" and "Bright Eyes" made me smile every time they are spoken, What is it about a nickname?!
"Tell me you feel it too, Brooke."
You will get sucked into the world of Brooke and Dylan! You will love their family and friends. But most of all, you will see that not all whirlwind romances are the same. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the last few chapters!
Just as much as I was loving this story, I was hating the fact that it was closing. One good thing is that it does continue...thank jeebus!!! I will promise you this...you might be wanting to throw your kindle like I did at the end;)
"She has become my constant distraction."
I can not wait until Blur!!! I need more of Brooke and Dylan!! Their story is not over and I'm excited to see what's next for them. I have so many questions that were left unanswered.
N.A. Alcorn is such a great storyteller! Well done!!
"Home isn't Paris or L.A. And it's not city lights or gorgeous parks or winding coblestones. Home is green eyes, strong arms, and a thousand smiles. Full lips, a gorgeous voice, and a playful laugh. Home is right her with Dylan. It's the only place I want to be, but the one place I can't stay."
I fell I love with this book on page one and my love grew till the final page. The story is so good there's no way to put it all in one book and I can't wait for book 2.
Go one click. You will fall in love in Paris with Dylan and Brooke!
Just bam ! Their spark is undeniable and the feels , their chemistry is spot on. Though Brookes grieving , she's truly
living for the first time in years. I can't wait for more time
with Brooke and Dylan !
Brooke has always been close with her grandmother Millie, as she’s raised Brooke and her sister, since their drug riddled parents didn’t care for them.
Millie is also dying.
This is something that Brooke knows she will never get over.
The day after Millie’s funeral, Brooke finds herself on a plane to Millie’s favourite city in the world, Paris. With her she has “Millie’s Paris bucket list”.
The last thing Brooke wants to do is wander the streets of Paris alone, living out Millie’s dreams for her.
But Brooke owes this to Millie.
On her first day with the list, she meets Dylan. He gives her his number but she can never call him!! It isn’t until Brooke’s best friend surprises her in Paris that the fun loving Brooke begins to show her face again. After so much heartbreak, Brooke is finally going to take Millie’s advice and live life to the fullest and have no regrets. A chance encounter once again with Dylan sees sparks fly between the two of them.
Do you believe you can fall in love with someone after such a short amount of time?
Can the one person you were never looking for hold your future in their hands?
At times a heartbreaking read, we read it in one sitting, not being able to put it down. Although the book ends in somewhat of a cliffhanger, with a tiny snippet of the next instalment, it definitely leaves you wanting more.
Thank you N.A Alcorn for giving us the opportunity read and review Forget. We look forward to the next instalment.
A definite 5 star read.
Right from the get go Forget will give you the feels. We are taken on an adventure when Brooke travels to Paris on a mission to complete a bucket list her grandma gave her. While she is there she meets Dylan. Dylan is a hot, sexy musician and they are instantly connected through music. Brooke never believed in fate....she never thought it was in the books for her to fall in love and find "the one". Slowly she starts to think that maybe just maybe she was wrong. There was only one problem....Jamie.
Once you pick up this book you will be hooked from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down and when I had to I couldn't stop thinking about it. What was gong to happen with Brooke and Dylan? What other kind of shenanigans would Brooke get herself involved in with her best friend Lyndsay? Who the hell is Jamie and what's his deal?
Forget was a nice breath of fresh air that I would highly suggest you read. NA has quickly become an author I will one click as soon as the book releases, no matter what she writes.
