Keeping secrets in any relationship is a one way ticket to drama but of all reasons to keep a secret?? So immature. I couldnt relate at all.
It just made me feel old because surely this isnt an average teen life?
Angel doesn't believe in the ' girl and boy best friend' thing. He is always overprotective, so what will happen when he finds out the truth about Sarah's best friend Sydney, that Sydney is not a girl but a boy, and that he's waiting for Sarah to come back home?
First things first. I didn't know much about this book, because i saw it on Amazon, and it was FREE on the kindle, and then i saw the cover and the title and i was like " Sold!". When i'v read the very first page i was immediately HOOKED. Couldn't stop reading it since then. To be honest, i wasn't expecting to like this book so much, but man, did it surprise me. It's been ages since i felt like a book really deserves 5 stars. Forever Mine is that kind of book.
'When he said goodbye he pulled her aside, but still in plain view of everyone he gave her another mind blowing kiss.'
I fell in love with the characters very quickly. They were very realistic and well developed. I think they could be more described, but oh well.
The main protagonist ( Sarah) was sweet, innocent, and so strong yet quite naive. But even though she was a little bit naive, i really liked her.
Angel was so intense, very possessive, and overprotective, but he was romantic and caring at the same time. I have to say, i fell for this dude. Wish he could be real and all mine 'sight'.
The rest of the 'more important' characters: Eric, Romero, Valerie, Sydney and Alex - LOVED them, ADORED them and LOVED all over again! Their friendship with each other was the 2sc most enjoyable thing to read about. I'm so glad that they have their own books and story's!
I think Sarah's and Angel's relationship was a little bit rushed, but i'm ok with it. They make a WONDERFUL couple, and i love them together.! There were many romantic and sweet scenes between them, i really liked that.
'Sarah pulled away and gazed in his eyes. "I love you, Angel." Hearing her say it for the first time choked him up. "Say it again," he whispered. Her eyes sparkled and she laughed. "I love you." "I love you too, baby."'
The ending was everything i wanted, although the author could explain a bit more what will happen with Sarah and Angel in the future. I was a bit scared, i have to admit, that this book was going to be one if those with the sad/tragic endings. But i'm very glad i was wrong.
Overall, Forever Mine by Elizabeth Reyes was a fantastic read that i extremely enjoyed. Although it gad 1 or 2 small twists, i would not recommend it to readers who are more into action and that kind of stuff. This book is all romance, drama, and friendship, so again, if you'r not into that kind of stuff then i would highly suggest you don't read this book. But if you are, then i highly recommend you pick this up immediately and give it a go. Can't wait to read book 2 in the series.
"We may not all have a great start, you know, but it's where you end up that counts."
