This item is not as advertised. It has no sleep/wake function as claimed (which was why I bought it). It is plastic not leather. It does not stand up very well and the front cover does not sit well over the screen. I feel ripped off. I'm surprised Amazon allow such shoddy products and shady marketing to use the platform. I will certainly think twice about the validity of merchants claims on the site in future. Very disappointed.

Poor dimensional quality resulting in a intermittent samrt cover functionality

More positive reviews than negative, so I purchased the cover without reading them all as there are so many reviews. The synthetic leather has a very strong smell but worse is the cover does not fit. A iPad mini 2 case was ordered for a iPad mini 2 but the 'spine' of the cover is too long by circa 3-4 millimetres. this results in the cover, when closed, offset to the right by 3-4 millimetres and results in the magnet smart on/off function being eratic. I've had to modifiy the cover by peeling and adjusting the inner lining to remove the excess 3-4 millimetres from the spine. Not a very good cover; I've ended up purchasing another, much better cover from an online market place for a 1/4 of the price i've paid for this poor Forefront case.

I had one of these cases before I ordered this one which lasted for a few years with constant daily use before the leather started cracking and coming off in tiny pieces. As it is a perfect fit and suits me just fine I decided to go for the same one again. The new one appears to have a slightly different backing but is still the same design and still fits nice and snug just like the old one. Hopefully this one will last as long as the old one.

Bought two of these now. First one January and second one March. Useless. The average lifespan of this case is around two months before the back corners crack and break off so iPad is no longer secure. Both cases broke in the exact same spot, so likely a design fault. Complete waste of money, I have just ordered a new case from a different supplier. I have an iPad Air and the case lasted two years, so I have bought my new iPad mini case from these people. Third time lucky I hope.

This case quickly lived up to expectations and its description fitting my ipad mini took just a second as it dropped straight into place with a simple click top and bottom. Removal of the ipad is just as easy, yet it is firmly gripped in position during use and will not fall out. The plastic edge is robust and the leather rear cover is well seated into the case making it unlikely to start lifting or fraying during use. The trifold leather front cover is neatly stitched with an elegant logo impressed into it and a soft suede-style lining which protects the screen when closed. The magnetic closure works fine and when folded as a stand, holds the ipad mini at a comfortable angle which will not tip backwards, even if knocked gently.

The edges of the hardcase section are smooth and rounded with well-located ergonomic apertures for all the external controls on the ipad mini, so there are no problems with fitting the charging lead or jacks for earphones or headphones. The product arrived a day ahead of the earliest delivery estimate. The quality of the build, choice of colours, ease of ordering and speedy delivery all back up this competitively-priced product. I recommend this as extremely good value-for-money.

I bought this for my wife. The previous case was still doing the job but looking a little rough round the edges - aren't we all?
The new case arrived 5 days before the estimated delivery date - Only 2 days after I ordered it. My wife is delighted with it. The price is brilliant. Usually anything to do with Apple is very expensive. Having read some of the earlier reviews I checked the magnet and found the strength to be just right - no one wants to struggle to open the case when a sudden photo opportunity arises but it is also important that cover doesn't flap around when the case is upside down. (tick).
It is the same quality as the previous case and I can't see any reason why it should not last like the previous one has.
It came with a lovely personal covering note from Nicola of Forefront Cases.
We would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again.

Just about does what it should

Not up to the high standard of their iPad Pro cover that I bought last year.
I purchased this one based on being well happy with the ipad pro cover, but this ipad mini case falls short. It has no magnetic close and the front cover doesn’t quite lie flat or fit right. The inside of the cover has felt, which is useless as it just attracts dirt quickly (I now see it’s in the picture so I just missed that) whereas the ipad pro cover was a beautifuily textured plastic.
Disappointed., though it just about does what it should.

This is a really good case - much better than I was expecting. First, it looks good and feels comfortable to hold. The front is divided into three parts which fold to create a very stable support; this enables you to stand your iPad Mini in landscape mode on a solid surface with no fear of it falling over. Opening the holder switches the Mini on; this function works very reliably, unlike with some holders I have bought in the past. The feature that I most like is the way that the Mini fits into the holder: instead of sliding it into an envelope which has an open face (and which becomes a receptacle for crumbs etc as well as the Mini), with the Forefront Case you get a solid recess which receives and holds firmly the back of the Mini, leaving the whole front of the Mini visible. This is an excellent way of doing things and would by itself be a good reason for giving the case a high score but when all the other features are added in, the only possible score is five stars. And next time I need a case for my full-size iPad I shall be going straight to the Forefront catalogue.
