Give us your soul, Michael, and your stories will become stars in the canon of geek lit.
The book does offer a great deal of personality. After a decade of exposure to Lucas's technical writing this short story reads in a familiar way that I enjoyed. Gaining access to the author's more personal side was something of a treat.
Alas, I return again to my desire to be perpetually educated by those with such great capacity to share and so I hope that future tales take more liberty with real-world tools so that I can more fully immerse myself in the scenes.
I debated a long while if to throw it away, or just keep it as an example of horrible writing, and even worse typesetting.
I felt cheated, so, at the end, I sent it back.
But the publisher ought to feel ashamed for the appaling typesetting job they did. And the Author, well, he should do another job, writing novels or stories is really not meant for him.
