(From the Year of the Wolf Vol 2 Box Set)

So as we dream and imagine our fantasies become true and manifest – the multiverse becomes one and all our magical imaginations now live alongside us.

With this premise in mind, those who believe that humans are the superior species wage war on the magical creatures – or were werewolves here before humans anyway? Apartheid anyone? Racial segregation and discrimination are the norm.

So far 3 worlds have collided – those of werewolves, vampires and dragons. Plus other magical species on each of course. But a 4th world is heading towards Earth Prime and a world walker is sought to discover what creature dominates it.

There are 3 more books related to this series in this collection: Her Scottish Alpha; Her Kilted Mate; and Her Vampire Mate.

The 3 worlds’ chief species live in an uneasy truce with each other. Wolves fight wolves for territory; dragons are reputed to be great thieve and no-one trusts them with the family silver; and as for vampires, well they are just too sneaky.

But in this series mates are found in unexpected places.

The US Alpha wolf mates a human; a US wolf mates with a Scottish wolf; the UK Alpha wolf mates a dragon slayer – who is not quite a human -;and as for a US wolf, well there was this vampire...

These are fun books. Shortish and quick reads at one sitting. Enough of a storyline to make you keep on reading but really you need all the 4 combined to make 1 substantial story.

4 for some fun and originality.

Lovely story of how love between Darius a werewolf and Aislinn a human conquer hatred to be together had me near to tears a few times, I would have liked to see the story continue a little longer to discover whether Aislinn's mother would finally except her daughters love for Darius and if her father finally got his comeuppance also what happened with the rest of the wolves if they also excepted Aislinn as part of the pack. Though I realise the author has other books to write she might consider (fingers crossed) a visit back to Darius and Aislinn to see how their lives are progressing.

This is a great example of the shifter genre!

Darius is the brooding Alpha, trying his best to bring peace between the wolves and a human anti-shifter group.

Aislinn gets caught up in her father's vengeful shenanigans and Darius discovers she's his mate.

Do they overcome major obstacles, hatred from both factions, violence, madness? Well, I guess you're going to have to buy it and find out!!

This book was gifted to me by the author as a thank you ... I was not asked to leave review, I do this by choice because the story was great!

**I was given a copy of this book for a complete and honest review**

What happens when worlds collide??? Chaos, fear, anger, bigotry, war and sometimes even love!

Ms. Conall has introduced an interesting world of intersecting universes/worlds that collide with the Earth. In this story the werewolves & Human Firsters are at war. Darius Bishop the Alpha for the North American wolf Pack wishes to avoid all out war but the General of the Humans First is rabid with nothing but contempt and hate for the wolves.

Against the advice of most of his command contingent Darius agrees to peace talks with the general at a location outside of the Humans First Compound. To say the negotiations go badly would be an understatement. An attempted poisoning of the werewolves at the luncheon sets off a chain of events that could plunge both sides into outright war. To add fuel to the fire Darius scents his mate - the general's daughter Aislinn Cavett. Anger and mating instincts takeover as Darius takes Aislinn "hostage" to save his guards lives and to get them out of the tight spot they find themselves. Aislinn sheltered, ignored and unwanted doesn't fully understand her part in the unfolding drama.

Darius explains things to Aislinn once they reach the safety of the wolves stronghold. At war with himself, his duty to his people and the overwhelming need to claim his mate his mind is crowded with decisions he must make quickly. Aislinn also ponders what she wants, needs and what would be best for everyone.

After an attack that kills several wolfs Darius knows that he must sacrifice his sanity not only for the lives of his people but also for the safety and happiness of his little mate.
