An excellent read with a lot of information but on more well known ski resorts. It does not cover the lesser known ones. Having said that, I like the chatty style in which the book is written and the information it does cover is useful.

This book has brilliant information over the major ski resorts in Europe. The pictures are stunning, and it has internet links to hotels, bars, pubs, ski rentals, and tuition. The one negative I have to give though, is the lack of resorts. Yes, it has all the 'major' ones, but there are no resorts in Germany, or Poland. Germany, of course, has the Bavarian Alps, and Poland has at least five major resorts. That said, the resorts included have a heap of info and detail, with how many blues, reds, and blacks there are, how many km from the nearest airport, highest lift, town altitude, amount of varied lifts, e.t.c. Maps are included. The following countries they include-
- Austria ( 19 resorts)
- Andorra ( 2 resorts)
- Bulgaria ( 3 resorts)
- Finland ( 2 resorts)
- France ( 36 resorts)
- Italy ( 20 resorts)
- Norway ( 3 resorts)
- Slovenia ( 2 resorts)
- Spain ( 2 resorts)
- Sweden ( 2 resorts)
- Switzerland( 23 resorts) Total Resorts- 114

Also, this book is from Nov 2008, so do not rely on the resort prices. But, if you are a beginner, this book is a must!

I got this for the very hard to impress man in my life and he loved it. Lovely finish on the book. It looks great. Its reviews of the resorts are so easy to follow and compare. It has a nice extra in that it tells you what the locals do and what they dont do.
Really great stuff.
