5.0 out of 5 stars Creepy...in a good way! 4 Mar. 2014
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Very imaginative! The narrator had a very "distinct" voice (in my head) that was refreshing and fun. He was like a good ole' southern guy who just wanted to let "bygones be bygones" even when it started destroying his life. It's almost like he internally struggled with opening himself up to others while appearing like he did share himself with others completely. And the foot took advantage of that while also giving him an excuse to remain aloof. I like Ernie & I hope to see another story with him in it...maybe even a point of view from The Foot. Foot has some extra explaining to do....
5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting character 27 April 2014
By Amanda Baus Rome - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Told entirely from the perspective of the main character, the real draw for me was in recognizing
people I know in the story - like my the mannerisms of my grandfather, or my neighbor who I see out in the yard all the time. I like how this story helps me imagine that the normal everyday thing in my neighborhood orthodox have a fantastic explanation.
I'm excited for the rest of the series!
5.0 out of 5 stars vivid descriptions 21 Feb. 2014

I always enjoy this authors descriptions of the characters in his stories. I also liked the connection to the other neighborhood tale and look forward to more installments that deepen and connect the characters even more.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very Hard to Put Down. 17 Jan. 2016
By D.S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I did like the book, but it can be a bit slow at times, but not slow enough as you end up struggling. It does keep your interest, & curiosity going. What would you do in his " shoes" ? Yes it is a Very good book.
