Great guide for the whole area and for groups of mixed ability.

Overall, this is an easy to use, comprehensive guide to the bouldering in and around the Foret de Fontainbleau. There are one or two bits of the guide which are a bit less than obvious and take a little bit of working out, but all the key information is there. This is a particularly good guide if your party are of mixed ability, as it covers all the grades from the easiest to the most challenging. The individual area layouts are most useful and highlight the boulders which are featured in the photoguide, showing precisely where some of the routes run up the boulder. The site directory/contents is well laid out and makes it easy to decide which area to pick to suit your party or yourself. The directions to parking areas are good and the GPS coordinates are welcome for those with either a handheld GPS unit or in car sat nav. The locations of several local supermarkets are marked on the overall area map on the inside front cover, which proved to be very useful for the first time visitor.
