The story of flight is a story that can capture your child's imagination. This book goes back as far as the 11th century and travels up to a future filled with adventure. At the end of the book there is a link to the Virgin Galactic site, talk about grabbing hold of your child's imagination. This is a book that really captures the development of flight and manages to leave the reader wondering, what next... This is a really interesting book and I highly recommend it.

HASH(0x9f643af8) out of 5 stars The first part to the middle of ebook was super! & enjoyed it! 16 July 2016

I found the beginning to about easy and fun to read and learn but then it seemed that there were unfinished sentences from about location #72 and on,which leaves the reader wondering what happened did they miss a page and go a page or two more than they should have.etc. there was more and more of these sentences that had been cut off leaving the reader in confusion and bewilderment, see? This is why I had to give this only 3*'s on this ebook at this time. It really needs some real editing work from about say location 72 and onwards towards the end of the ebook,Sir. I did not see the super sonic black military plane in this ebook that could zoom right into an area with a very very short runway which I saw in Salt Lake City,Utah say in the early nineties, why not?
I old not be able to really recommend this ebook right now for young kids because of all the editing errors and this is why I also had to give this only three stars now when earlier in this ebook I would have given it five stars. I received this ebook for free and in return, here now is my honest review. If I had had your email address and so knew how to share this info personally instead of this way I definitely would have Gary! By Angela

At one time I was a flying enthusiast, learned to fly in a Cessna 150. I still remember the thrill of my first solo. I spent nearly a year on the USS Essex, CVA9, making a cruise to the far east, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea and the Philipines. My favorite spot was on the 010 level of the island, standing on the catwalk and watching air ops.

This book makes excellent reading for those of us that like aviation. I visited the Air & Space Museum when the Spirit of Saint Louis was suspended by itself.

This book woulld make a great reference for a school project or report. I recommend it to everyone.

Wow! What a wonderful book that covers everything there is to know about flying. It really is a journey from the past with all of the nifty flying machines and into the future with a look at Sir Richard Branson's DREAM. Gary's passion for flying comes through loud and clear as shares these wonderful airplanes and aircraft. This book is a must have for every boy and girl who has a DREAM to fly!
HASH(0x9f4f93a8) out of 5 stars A "Must-read" for all flight enthusiasts 9 Nov. 2013
By Jan Marie Mueller - Published on Amazon.com

An intriguing look into the world of flying - just the thing my son needed to help him understand the progression from man's first early attempts to the terrific heights of modern day air travel. He especially loved reading about the different forms of flying for sport: skydiving, paragliding, hang-gliding and gliding. Definitely a "must-read" for all flight enthusiasts...
