With angels crying in the toilets all because of a jealous Angel Gabriel, it could only be the eagerly awaited performance of the Primary school nativity play - this time with a twist! The UK's finest comedy actors take the leading roles as the eight year old performers. Through the inevitable mishaps, misunderstandings, young egos, fears of failure and fallings out, the children's characters evolve into mirror images of thier parents, the nativity play's audience. You'll be drawn into the amusing and enchanting worlds and minds of young children and reminisce about your own childhood performances!

The props are amazing for his story and the actors really do capture the essence of the adults they live around, who they emulate. Frank Skinner as the Herod of the nativity has a really brilliant line or two and you will laugh so much. This is about 2 hours of really lovely, funny, heartwarming viewing.
Reminds me of my own school nativity plays at primary school. Will make you feel nostalgic.
The actors play the children and they have got the children's mannerisms Perfect!
A must watch!
This DVD is so funny, full of familiar faces (from TV). the actors are all adults playing children with all the props bigger!
There is the girl (Dervla Kirwan) who is an angel but who really wants to play Mary (Josie Lawrence).
King Herod (Frank Skinner) who narrates his part as if in a Question of Sport!
Jane Horrocks, as a shepherd who is the child who knows all about 'grown-up stuff' and having babies.
The boys who bully!
The girls who fall out and don't talk to each other.
If you've ever been in a Nativity - seen a Nativity - or been a Teacher directing a Nativity - then there will be something (lots of things ) in this DVD that you will recognise!
I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of humour.
