Product description

Review

"In a market inundated with so many books, it is a relief to find an author who is more than just the sum total of his attributes - there is something prodigious, an elusive extra that makes Ian Andrew's work special. It also helps that [he is] blessed with quite exceptional story-telling skills. Andrew delivers adrenalin and excitement laced with imaginative, innovative technology with memorable characters who provide heart and substance to his work." (Elaine Fry - The West Australian)

About the Author

Ian Andrew grew up in the coastal town of Larne, Northern Ireland. He left to join the Royal Air Force at age 18 and worked initially as an aircraft technician before being commissioned as an Intelligence Officer. After serving for two decades he relocated, with his Australian wife, to the rural South West of Western Australia. Surrounded by a resident mob of kangaroos, he is currently working on the next novel in the Wright & Tran series of detective stories.

Second in the series and in my humble opinion, they are going from strength to strength. Good story throughout and great to see the central characters being fleshed out more. I like the small touches of authenticity, that for me ground the story and provide a healthy dose of credibility during the fiction. If you haven't sampled this series yet I would suggest starting with Face Value, but you can jump straight into Flight Path as a standalone story if you wish. Highly recommended and bring on the third (no rest for the wicked eh, Ian?)...

What a great follow-up to Face Value by an author who has crafted his own unique style and pace of writing that leave you, inevitably, looking repeatedly at the alarm clock and pleading for just one more chapter before bed. Ian Andrew set a high bar with the first outing for Wright and Tran and he has not failed with this great story. He writes with fantastic attention to detail but without the padding of Thomas Hardy! I don't want to risk any spoilers, except to say that the familiar characters from the first book develop even more in the second book and you will be drawn in by their emotional turmoil on more than one occasion. Six out of five!

Absolutely loved this book and also Face Value by the same author. Fast paced, takes no prisoners, superb story telling with hard but sympathetic characters. Would love to know if Ian Andrew is planning more books in the Wright and Tran series? I sincerely hope so!

Again a good follow up to book one. Fast paced and a read you do not want to put down. Again any bit that was a bit unbelievable were far out weighed by the great characters and their camaraderie. Look forward to next one
