The interesting thing about the concert is to see the crowd getting more and more involved in the proceedings as the show goes on. The 5 song run from the solo career towards the end gets a great response and deservedly so. Great band, great repertoire and for us all to enjoy again and again.
(Check out Doyle's strat - Lefthanded body, righthanded machine head, and strung upside down!).
If the Brum Gig is only half as good as this it will be worth every penny. Floyd fans buy this - Don't dither, just do it.
Anyway, take Rog's comments with a pinch of salt and enjoy the DVD. It also comes with a double CD, or is it the other way round? Some diverse Floyd material, some nice new arrangements of old pieces and the usual smattering of great musos. Lack of sax solo on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is initially a disappointment but it's definitely a grower.
Don't expect to compare with Pulse, released by "the other band" a few years earlier. Roger's "In the Flesh" show lacks the visual spectacle but it is still highly enjoyable. As you would expect, it is quite Americanised. I also tend to skip Roger's solo material...
The stereo mix is nice and clear on both the DVD and CD. I can't comment on the 5.1 mix.
If you only follow the later Dave Gimour and early Floyd route. You will be surpised by how good Rogers later music is.

Roger Waters 'Live' Concert with 2 excellent CD's. Well worth purchasing.Published 3 months ago by Billy
Great value double CD with DVD . Good performance but I still prefer Gilmour to sing the PF songs . Water's voice is quirky but not the best !!!Published 8 months ago by DJEJRobin
