One of Rock’s best-kept secrets – Fleetwood Mac, the band renown for selling millions of albums on the back of their highly polished, technically perfect production, actually translate rather well into a great live band. Strip away all that studio gloss, and you are left with a simple 3 piece band – guitar, bass and drums, that really know how to rock. Add a few light keyboard touches, some great melodies and vocal harmonies, and the sort of “X factor” performance , and you have one hell of a DVD indeed.
If you’re not a fan of the band, this is a great introduction, as it shows them in their natural environment, live on stage, and includes all the old favourites – The Chain, Dreams, Rhiannon, Everywhere, Don’t Stop – the hits just keep on coming. Trust me, after you’ve watched this and seen what this much maligned band are actually capable of, you soon will be a fan.
If you are already a fan, then this is sublime. The sound quality is amazing, with a choice of standard stereo or Dolby 5.1, and the picture is sharp and clear, with none of those annoying soft focus washes and annoying cut-aways that many performance videos suffer from. It’s just a shame that this is the last chance we’re likely to get to see this classic line up of the band live
The band look and sound better than ever, all of them seem to be having fun, and their performances really shine as a result. New arrangements of some old favourites just add to the special atmosphere. The ever gorgeous Stevie shines throughout, and Lyndsay proves himself the real star of the show. .
No added features on the DVD apart from a rather pointless subtitle option, but with a performance DVD this superb, you don’t really need more.

IS IT AN ORIGINAL?

To save money I purchased a 'used' one in used condition. However when it arrived the box and disc seemed brand new. BUT there is no picture on the disc making it look like a copy?

The sound seems ok although the video picture is fuzzy and I don't know if the original would be better?

From the start, right through to the end this concert sways, rocks and pumps a fluid of light and sublime sound! Even if I'm lying on the floor, I can feel the marrow in my bones jumping and the nuclei in my cells cavorting to the music. And this concert is on a DVD so I can play in over and over again without wearing it out - the quality stays the same as the day I first played it. I'm really rather glad I bought it. What an impressive band: Lindsey Buckingham must be one of the best guitar players I've heard; Stevie Nicks' voice - sort of smooth, low, going on gravely and isn't she the image of some kind of beautiful, mysterious witch; Mick Fleetwood gurning and thrashing those drums always puts a grin on my face; Christine and John McVie mostly keeping a lower profile - cool and indispensable. At the end of the concert the USC Trojan Marching Band marches onto the stage to join Fleetwood Mac for 'Tusk' and 'Don't Stop' to make a real fun finale. I usually have to go back and listen to several of the numbers again after the last song has finished. This is not a concert to watch and listen to before bed time - not unless you want to stay awake and full of energy for some reason.
