I feel i'm fast becoming a Bella Jewel fan!

I recently read Flawed Heart book one in this series and i really enjoyed that and was looking forward to this one as Rainer piqued my interest big time!!

In book 2 it's the story of Rainer and Mali/Emy. Again it's a second chance romance but this one is completely different from Max and Bella and again i found myself well and truly drawn into the story from start to finish.

Rainer can't remember much of his past due to a horrific experience which clouded all his memories from before. He has vague recollections and feelings but can't pull details to them. Mali was Rainer's best friend through their childhood. When she hears he's back in town after a long time away she seeks him out hoping he remembers her and wants her back in his life. Unfortunately things don't go to plan and Rainer doesn't remember her due to his memory loss.

"Then he turns his eyes to me. I wait for it, my heart pounding, my skin clammy, and my eye's big and round, I wait for him to recognize me, but it never comes. He just stares at me, his face blank, absolutely no recognition in his depths. "Can i get you something?" It feels as if someone has slapped me hard across the face. He doesn't know who i am." - Mali

The story goes from here. Its a present and past tense book and i find i really like the way this author does this. There were more than a few times i shed a little tear for these two.

The love scenes are extremely hot! Rainer is ummm lets just say he's pure hot undie melting dirty goodness! wowzers!! Mali is more than game and who can blame her!!.

I really enjoyed this story.

I have loved all these characters from my first book of jokers mc and am so pleased that each character gets their own story none more then emali and rainer who deserves his own happy ever after. I thought it was quite realistic that rainer and pippa have a strong bond that is difficult to comprehend why they need each other yet cannot be that way with each other then good friends. Emali made a tough decision that was heartbreaking to read and even if i could not understand why she would try to play games with rainer i guess she did what she thought best.

To her crown with this series, I absolutely love that she has mixed the characters from these stories with the ones from the MC and can't wait for the next one and have already pre-ordered the Raide book, I love to get lost in her words as it does a good job of taking me away from my illnesses and keeps my mind most definitely active, so I thank you greatly for that. I'm not going to give you any details apart from the men as always are gorgeous and that it's always worth the money to purchase this authors books as you will never be disappointed, again many thanks and can't wait for the next instalment. I enjoyed this story. It was a decent read. Not as strong as a lot of her other ones, but it is a stronger book than the first one in the series.

I said this in my review of the first book and I will say it again here. Yes, the constant (and they are every other chapter constant) flashbacks do give you knowledge of the back story, but with regards to the flow they just do so much damage. Plus, I found myself skimming and even skipping most pages with them as I just wanted to know what was happening with Emy and Rainer in the present.

Typical bad boy good girl story.
I'm starting to find the ending in this and the first book a bit rushed. I love the story but I think the ending is rushed.

It's like mali loves Rainer. Rainer loves her. Then he loved puppy (understandable) but then he has to choose and bam he realises he loves mali. The end

Sorry Bella. I wanted to love it, but I hated Pippa in her story, hated her even more in this one. For that reason alone I found it lacking. Story was good, premise was intriguing, but aside from 'Pippa' I felt it was rather rushed after Emy reveals who she is.

I'm still a devoted and loyal follower though!! X

I've been waiting for a book by Bella to tick all the boxes of what I like and it's always been a solid 4 stars, which can't be sniffed at but Rainer and Emy's story just took it that step further for me. Fast paced, awesome storyline, twists and turns and steamy romance. Love love loved it! Yeay!

Hmmmm.....this review isn't easy to write, especially since I usually am head over heels with everything that Bella Jewel writes.

"Flawed Love" by Bella Jewel didn't knock me off my feet. The book and I just didn't click.
There were a few reasons for that.
The plot was great and had all the bits a second chance romance needs.
Two people who once have been best friends and then lovers see each other again after ten years. But only one of them remembers and recognizes the other.
A lot of hurt, old and new, mixed with longing and love leads to a heart-breaking story. Both characters can either find their happiness or break each others hearts.

I should have loved it. I wanted to. But unfortunately, I couldn't connect with the characters. Not even a bit.

Mali, a young woman who has never forgotten the man she once loved is devastated when he doesn't recognize her. I wished that all those challenges would have made her stronger. But not only did she let Rainer break her spirits when he left, she also doesn't have a backbone now that he is back. I get that she still loves him. I understand that her feelings cloud her decision making, but climbing into bed with him while knowing he loves someone else borders on masochism. While she stood up for herself at times, it quickly faded once he paid her some attention. Then she was all 'have your way with me even if you treat me like crap outside the bedroom.' It made her appear weak and needy.
What really bugged me to no end was her attitude towards her friend Kevin. Yes, back then she was still a teenager, but her demeaning comments about him made her not a single bit better than the people she despised. It just made her lack integrity and personality.
