5.0 out of 5 stars Great edging, comfortable after break-in 14 Feb. 2013

I bought these in 8.5 as a successor to my Evolv Defy shoes, which I had in 9. The fit was very snug at first, so much so that I could only wear them for a couple boulder problems at a time. Around a month later, they've broken in to the point that I can send multiple sport routes before having to take them off.

Soles are nice and stiff and I can stand on far smaller features than I could with the Defys. These also smell far better.

All in all very good shoes. If you're a vegan like me, it's one of your few choices but it doesn't feel like a compromise.

3.0 out of 5 stars inconsistent sizing 23 Aug. 2011

I loved the first pair of shoes that I bought from these guys. However, this time round, I bought the exact same pair in the same size and they are a little bigger. I wish Five Ten would be more consistent with their sizing and quality control.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phantominal 18 Mar. 2013

I rate these a 5/5 because they are super sticky and I feel confident standing on the tiniest of tiny edges. They do cramp my foot a little, but that's exactly what I needed in a more aggressive style of shoes. This is my second pair of climbing shoes and they are taking my climbing to the next level. I put them on only when I have trouble sending a project and they always do the trick. If I don't finish, it's because my arms give out first, not my feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars love these shoes! 15 Mar. 2013

One can stand on the smallest of chips and feel like your still on the ground. I downsized just a half size from my street shoes and the fit was perfect. These shoes work great in the gym and outdoors. I've done a lot of research and no body has prices like Amazon for this pair of shoes. also with free shipping the shoes shipping quickly and were on my doorstep in under a week.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great fit for a slender foot 21 Mar. 2013

This is the first FiveTen shoe I have owned. Before I purchased this shoe, I had climbed in the Evolv Geshidos the La Sportiva Testarossas. Obviously those shoes do very different jobs, but I'll compare them based on size. My street shoe size is an 11 US. My Geshidos, which are the most similar to the Anasazi of any of my other shoes, are a size 11 US. The Geshidos fit my foot great length wise but were slightly wide making side edges a little more tenuous. My Testarossas are a size 42.5 EU; I definitely should have gotten these smaller as they stretched to be slightly too long and are too wide for me to get good side edging.

With that info in mind, the 9.5 Anasazi fit's my foot (after two and a half weeks of climbing at least 3 times a week) great so far. It is a somewhat aggressive fit as my toes knuckle more than in any of my other shoes. The width, however, is great so far. I can edge better in these shoes than in any pair I have yet owned. The heal box is very pronounced which fits my heal perfect. I've been able to make good heal hooks on tenuous holds in them without any slippage. The lack of downturn makes these shoes less than ideal for really steep climbing, but that's not what I bought them for. I bought them as all-around shoes, and so far I think they're doing perfectly.

They are great for face climbing on small edges. If aggressively sized, they are decent for roofs. They are flat enough to comfortably drop your heel for slab climbing. This may be my go-to all-arounder from now on. This isn't an all-day, multi-pitch shoe in this aggressive size, though.
