We all know the expression that “often we are our own worst enemy" - failing to acknowledge the existence of ‘issues’ and ill-equipped to plan how to tackle the challenges before we are incapacitated by them.
Andrew’s book therefore is a tremendously helpful insight into the way one can turn our lives around and successfully combat our limiting belief systems, our feelings of being stuck, our personal stressors and guide you in bringing about personal change (one step at a time), if you have the desire, motivation and compelling hunger for change.
I worked with Andrew many years ago, I admired him then, and do so even more now. In sharing his personal challenges, his depths of despair and his new found strength to come through the ‘other-side’ by focussing on vitality, health and success Andrew has set out a path many of us could and should follow. I shed more than one tear in reading of how one life challenge after another left Andrew broken and in despair.
As a fairly ‘chipper/upbeat sort of guy’ myself, I know how our self-doubts and limiting-belief-systems can effect both our short and long term health - as we battle inwardly 'our demons' whilst trying to continue to present an ‘everything is fine’ outward appearance to friends, family and colleagues.
Andrew’s book focuses on ‘prevention' being the key… and it is. To live a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life we need to focus our efforts on ‘doing just that’ whilst not allowing ourselves to ‘live the life others would have us live’. We need to rebel against the pressures loaded upon us by others, but mostly by ourselves - and the negative consequences out-of-control stress can have upon us.
I would say now “thank you Andrew" for this book. You have given me revisitalised motivation, new hopefulness and a fresh framework for dealing with the challenges I face - this is a a ‘gift' that I only wish I had been able to offer you.
I recommend that, in conclusion, that if you have feelings of being ‘stuck’ and need a framework that can deliver positive outcomes please do reach out to this insightful and inspirational book - it has delivered positive outcomes for Andrew (as well as for many others) and I am confident that when I am through the 12 weeks I shall see the light at the end of the tunnel too!
This book sums up the key points and really helps if you're in business.
The problem is that most people don't do anything until it's too late and I really believe I was heading down that road.
Andrew helped me both physically and mentally deal with extreme pressure and deliver.
The main benefit for me was energy to do more and to work more if I wanted but with a healthy balance.
Don't waste any time thinking about getting this book, I'm sure you won't be sorry you did.
That said, this is a book that may actually finally help me to sort out the lack of motivation I've had and to actually sort myself out and get rid of the gut, as well as to be able to actually achieve the work/life balance that Andrew's book so successfully teaches.
I found it a really good read and had many, 'Yes! I Can do that!' moments as I went through the book.
