Supplied with a neoprene pad (can be attached to lid to make more comfortable or attach it inside the box to stick lures or hooks in) Good quality brass lock down clips Carry strap 4 handy lure compartments in lid, each 140mm x 75mm x 25mm 60mm deep lid container complete with compartment separators. Large 18 litre main compartment, large enough as carry all the equipment you would need for a days sport. Every seat box comes complete with a Bison mobile phone dry bag. These little waterproof* dry bags (100mm x 150mm) are an essential for any fishing trip and are made from conductive plastic so that you can use your phone without removing it from the protection of the dry bag and it even floats if you drop it in the water as the photo shows my i-phone floating whilst in a Bison phone dry bag. Each Bison mobile phone dry bag comes with a lanyard which can be used around your neck or attached to the shoulder straps of your waders so that your phone can be kept safely in the chest pocket of your waders. *These little dry bags are waterproof but are not suitable for diving or swimming and will not withstand total immersion for any length of time but since it will probably be attached to your person the phone will be the least of your problems if it is underwater for any length of time.

As a fisherman since my earliest youth I have tried to find the perfect fishing box but as your kit expands this becomes more and more impossible to the extent that I have given up this quest for my holy grail. However the fishing box does cover a multitude of scenarios.
Sometimes fishermen and I am including myself believe that they need to take all their gear to the waterside and as we all know this has been quite cumbersome. With this box it allows you take a fair selection of equipment and even your lunch. I would defy anyone to show me a fishing box that can accommodate spare reels, flask and maybe dead bit on top of the usual gear. Said box however does allow you to do just that.
Now if you are like me at times and wish to cover a lot of ground while out fishing then the old 25 or 35 litre rucksack does the trick but if you intend to establish a base or sit by the bank and take it easy then this is for you. It is also quite good to just keep in the car on the off chance that you pass a lake or river that you fancy wetting a line on.
In my box I have and can put:-
Fishing knife, lures, floats, hooks, spare line, reel, spare spool, rigs, dead bait, pike grabber, pliers, sweet corn, binos, flask, sandwiches,Spod, trace making gear, multi tool, small first aid kit,the belongings I usually carry when fishing (eg car keys, wallet,Mobile phone etc)bite alarm and a lot more.
As you all know it's horses for courses but this box has definitely a purpose for particular fishing where everything and I mean everything you need is in the one place all you need to do if you have plenty of gear is sort out what is needed and apply your logic, you don't event have to take your fishing chair.
Sturdy enough to sit on and I'm not a small Fella.
Update as of July 14. Used this now on many fishing trips ( since Sept 13) and its starting to fall apart.
First back in June 14 one of the catches on the upper lid snapped clean off, then last weekend ( july 14) the shoulder strap broke.

Bought this to store my fishing gear in when on a fishing trip.
Seat seems sturdy enough, though did hear it creak a little.
Good storage compartments design.
Fits well over the shoulder to carry.
Because its not that big you cant put everything in it so it does force you to travel light (ish)
Maybe its me but it looked bigger on the pictures. lesson learnt read the dimensions. Its not that big.
The design is top heavy so when opening up the top compartments, it often topples over especially if you got weights in the top compartments. This I found annoying.
Just me, but I am not sure of its durability, little things such as the clasps to lock the tops dont seem to be that sturdy.- As of July 2014 this is starting to appear real , with things breaking now.

This is a good box but be ware not to load the top section of the box with anything heavier than that at the bottom of the box because it will flip over and spill out its contents.Published 4 months ago by J W Braunstein
