Product Description

The 4Sport Zinc Oxide is our best selling non elastic tape with excellent adhesion and tensile strength properties. The strong tape fabric is bleached and has a soft and supple feel. The tape has a computerised unwind design which means it comes off the roll very smoothly and it unwinds to the core. The 4Sport Zinc Oxide is a very economical Zinc Oxide Tape with strong adhesion, serrated edge and easy unwind. The tape is 13.7m in length and available in the following widths:- 1.25cm, 2.5cm, 3.8cm and 5cm. 4Sport Zinc Oxide is used for the immobilisation of joints. The smooth unwind means it is very good where you need controlled application, for example when taping hands in professional boxing. The strength of the actual tape material of the 4Sport Zinc Oxide is on average 43lbs per linear inch. The 4Sport Zinc Oxide tape will best stick on the first application to the skin so try not to handle it too much. To increase the adhesivness of any sticky tape, warm it up slightly and prepare the surface, with a pre tape spray, skin tuffner or adhesive spray, so the adhesive will have no reason not to last the distance.

When preparing for a 100 mile walk across England from Whitley Bay to Bowness my main fear was blisters. One of the things I believed I needed was zinc oxide tape for those parts of my feet liable to blisters. I bought this product at a very good price, and it did the trick. Highly recommended!

I use a lot of tape, particularly binding lifting blocks to rugby players legs and I have yet to find a better tape for this than this 4sport stuff. The 5cm roll is wide enough to tape a lifting block securely with only 3 or 4 turns. It also come off the spool easily avoiding a tug of war with the roll that results in the players leg being taped over tightly. It tears easily at the end of the process, which saves fafing about with scissors. Finally it stays put even in the wet and mud of a Scottish rugby field.

This is such a great find. I use it every day to prevent rubbing in my uncomfortable work shoes. This tape cannot be torn, so if you're on the run, you have to bring scissors, but it's also a plus because the edges don't fray like the type you tear - that's usually the tradeoff. Sticks well - whole day unless quite sweaty whereby it only shifts a bit. It does though leave a sticky residue when you take it off (after a whole day) - but this is expected and happened with other tapes I've tried. It's much cheaper than buying blister bandaids. Would highly recommend.

Just what the doctor ordered! Well, mate actually.

I sprained my left ankle quite badly while trying to pick up my running & the distance I could comfortably go. Having notoriously weak ankles meant I was always aware of a potential injury, but after this I was not keen on running at all, never mind repeating the sprain or doing worse. I was actually quite fearful of going out again even after the 'healing' period. This was a shame as I was getting somewhere in my distance when this injury could've potentially meant I had to stop.

After two weeks rest & some mate's advice, I tried this tape as a support against turning my ankle again. The method is simple and works great for me:

I run about 12 - 15inch of tape down the outside of my calf (extensor digitorum longus I think), then ever-so-slightly, pronate my foot and run the tape under the arch of the foot, back up the other side of my foot but instead of taping up the inside of my leg, I wrap the tape around the front of my ankle and back to the outside of my leg, crossing the tape there. I generally cut the tape so it reaches to my Achilles.

There are articles online showing the pictures, but I cant find any quickly.

Doing the above meant that as I stand straight there is a slight (ever so slight) tension on the tape. After a few minutes, that tension seems to disappear. Skin gives, tape stretches a little etc. What this means is that I can continue running without support, except in the case where my ankle gives way and wants to roll; then I have additional support that prevents a nasty sprain. Without support means that my muscles/tendons/etc start to regain their strength and hold up on their own. Always a good thing!

For the price, I wasn't expecting much from this tape. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The tape is very strong and sticks well to the skin. I taped this around my toes to stop blisters and it did the job. Not once did it peel off, even when I stretched my foot continuously to test it. This will be in my bag when I'm trekking up mountains!

I bought this because I was sick and tired of one particular pair of shoes that I couldn't break in and they ripped my feet apart with blisters,
I waited till my feet had healed then used a double layer of this on the sensitive part of my heel, dont' use lint or anything stick the tape straight to your foot or wherever you want to use it,
when I took my boots off at the end of the day you could really see where they had had a go at the tape but my feet where intact, I used this till the boots softened and now my feet are fine and so are the boots, this stuff is ingenious I will in future always have a supply to hand

I have just seriously taken up exercise and part of my workout routine is Zumba, which is almost impossible to do in trainers, as there are a lot of twists, turns and general booty-shaking that trainers are too cumbersome for. After two days my entire forefoot was sore and peeling. When I ordered the tape (by the way, the delivery was pretty much next day, which given the circumstances was vastly appreciated) I got it in the smallest and the one after that sizes. Applying was easy, the tape broke off without too much resistance. Most importantly, me feet were entirely protected for my next Zumba session, the tape did not slip on our wooden floor and it came off easily without leaving residue. I highly recommend it if you're going to do any barefoot training.

One thing, as the delivery is more expensive than the product, I suggest stocking up on several rolls at once.

I do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and am always breaking/dislocating my fingers and need to tape them up or tape them to each other so that I can train without making them worse, and this is my tape of choice. I have tried several other types over the years but this is the one I keep coming back to. I've ordered many rolls of this tape over the last 5 years and I look forward to ordering many more. It has just the right amount of stick, just the right amount of stretch and easy to tear into strips or lengths without needing scissors. It's pretty much perfect. Please don't ever change it.
