The 4Sport Zinc Oxide is our best selling non elastic tape with excellent adhesion and tensile strength properties. The strong tape fabric is bleached and has a soft and supple feel. The tape has a computerised unwind design which means it comes off the roll very smoothly and it unwinds to the core. The 4Sport Zinc Oxide is a very economical Zinc Oxide Tape with strong adhesion, serrated edge and easy unwind. The tape is 13.7m in length and available in the following widths:- 1.25cm, 2.5cm, 3.8cm and 5cm. 4Sport Zinc Oxide is used for the immobilisation of joints. The smooth unwind means it is very good where you need controlled application, for example when taping hands in professional boxing. The strength of the actual tape material of the 4Sport Zinc Oxide is on average 43lbs per linear inch. The 4Sport Zinc Oxide tape will best stick on the first application to the skin so try not to handle it too much. To increase the adhesivness of any sticky tape, warm it up slightly and prepare the surface, with a pre tape spray, skin tuffner or adhesive spray, so the adhesive will have no reason not to last the distance.

I sprained my left ankle quite badly while trying to pick up my running & the distance I could comfortably go. Having notoriously weak ankles meant I was always aware of a potential injury, but after this I was not keen on running at all, never mind repeating the sprain or doing worse. I was actually quite fearful of going out again even after the 'healing' period. This was a shame as I was getting somewhere in my distance when this injury could've potentially meant I had to stop.
After two weeks rest & some mate's advice, I tried this tape as a support against turning my ankle again. The method is simple and works great for me:
I run about 12 - 15inch of tape down the outside of my calf (extensor digitorum longus I think), then ever-so-slightly, pronate my foot and run the tape under the arch of the foot, back up the other side of my foot but instead of taping up the inside of my leg, I wrap the tape around the front of my ankle and back to the outside of my leg, crossing the tape there. I generally cut the tape so it reaches to my Achilles.
There are articles online showing the pictures, but I cant find any quickly.
Doing the above meant that as I stand straight there is a slight (ever so slight) tension on the tape. After a few minutes, that tension seems to disappear. Skin gives, tape stretches a little etc. What this means is that I can continue running without support, except in the case where my ankle gives way and wants to roll; then I have additional support that prevents a nasty sprain. Without support means that my muscles/tendons/etc start to regain their strength and hold up on their own. Always a good thing!Read more ›
I waited till my feet had healed then used a double layer of this on the sensitive part of my heel, dont' use lint or anything stick the tape straight to your foot or wherever you want to use it,
when I took my boots off at the end of the day you could really see where they had had a go at the tape but my feet where intact, I used this till the boots softened and now my feet are fine and so are the boots, this stuff is ingenious I will in future always have a supply to hand
One thing, as the delivery is more expensive than the product, I suggest stocking up on several rolls at once.
