With illustrations that enhance the text and suggested projects that will develop the child's knowledge this really gives a great basis for the study of this fascinating period of history.
A lot of ground is covered including how Rome was founded, its governance, entertainment, housing, food and the importance of its military. For the young reader there is really everything here that they need to know and it is a book that once read can be referred to again later. Interesting and informative I believe that this will make an excellent purchase for a young inquiring mind.
