He treasures it a lot and likes to go through it especially when looking for ideas for what animals to draw or write about. It's divided into sections- mammals/reptiles etc and explains all the facts in a very child-friendly, clear to understand language, with lovely pictures. Not a thick book, just the right amount of information for that early primary age.
By the way, inside the book, there is a nice link to a website with a few more photos, videos etc, which my boy liked as well.
I have just only recently decided to purchase a more grown up version with more facts, as my son has by now memorised almost everything in this one ;)

I did not give this book 5 stars because I felt it was disjointed in the terminology. It goes from mammals, reptiles, and amphibians to "creepy-crawlies" and "water life." I wish they would keep the same level of technicality throughout.
Overall, this is a good book! It has lots of information for your little one to pour over.
