4.0 out of 5 stars Our First Dance Nicely Done! 6 July 2015
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase
Our First Dance was sensational. This second book by Ms. Hubbard was equally as good as her first book (These Arms of Mine). In this story, Natasha Carter- a prima ballerina was asked to audition for the leading part of Juliet in a production by impresario Damien Johnson. Damien's dance troupe was infamous as was his reputation for being demanding and `uber sexy. These factors collectively made for an interesting temptation for Natasha. Once landing the leading role, it became apparent that Damien and Natasha had eye for one another and was destined to fall in love. This was another well told story. The characters are easy to like and the plot well conceived. I like the tone of the story, with some humor, with points to feel passionate about, and others that allow the reader to be engaged in the story. A good read, nicely done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bright Lights on Broadway and for Judy Hubbard 2 July 2012

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Half way into this story I was going through my drawers looking for a pair of leotards; I wanted to be Natasha. The author did a phenomenal job making the reader believe we were in the middle of Broadway right along Natasha and Damien.

The chemistry between Natasha and Damien sizzled. Natasha was a prima ballerina and Damien was producing his own ballet. Damien sought Natasha out for an audition in his ballet after seeing her perform a year or two prior. While they try to fight their attraction to each other they learn that you cannot fight what is written in the stars. I like that Damien thought he was in control but in reality Natasha remained in control. The secondary characters were equally as strong and helped moved the story along without getting in the way.

The story moved at a great pace and I appreciated the lack of "drama" for the sake of a story. The story evolved as the couple's relationship evolved. While the characters were young (20's) I felt the maturity in the story that has been lacking in some of the romantic stories I've read this year.

The story is so well written I am still amazed this is this author's second book. She has the uncanny ability and talent to be able to create main characters that we want to jump up and root for! I look forward to taking many more journeys with this author; I know it will be an exciting ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our First Dance 9 Feb. 2013

I enjoyed this follow up book too These Arms of Mine...
Instant attraction plus chemistry is what happened too Damien and Natasha.. after reading this book i wanted to be dancer myself who knew being ballerina could be so sexy loved it .. what i enjoyed the most about the book it was all believable..the whole book was written ever so classy with just enough spice so the readers can be pleased, i finished pretty quickly was not bored once. Damien has been burned by women in his past... by using him for his position so he is leery.. Natasha not looking for any distractions , she is determine to become prima ballerina that has always been her dream.. but things to always goes as planned... Good book enjoyed every minute of it

5.0 out of 5 stars I Feel Like Dancing 28 Sept. 2012

Judy Hubbard has really made her mark as a member of the Kimani Romance family with her second book "Our First Dance." You could definitely feel the instant connection between Natasha and Damien. I really enjoy every minute of this book. I hope a story is in the works for Marcy and Nathan. They had great chemistry towards the end of the book. Looking forward to reading more from this amazing author.
