I loved this book. It totally absorbed me and I stayed up until 2am reading it despite an early start the next day. The writing is flawless but it was the plot and characters that kept me gripped. Clearly this isn’t your typical romance due to Mouth’s life as a hustler but it just worked so well, Megan and Mouth worked as a couple. No the road wasn’t always easy but it sure was interesting watching them reach the end. This, however, isn’t a book for the faint-hearted as it does touch upon a lot of serious and potentially distressing issues including prostitution, drug-use, sex with minors and older woman and younger man. Personally I felt the authors did a fantastic job of portraying these issues without letting them detract from the main focus of the novel, the growing relationship between Mouth and Megan. All the characters were fully fleshed out individuals meaning you could really connect with them and understand them as human-beings.
This is potentially the best book i’ve read all year and I know it will stay with me for a long time to come. If you want a romance with a lot more grit and hardship but also a lot of heart then you should read Finding Home. You won’t regret it!

Going in to Finding Home, it's safe to say I was very unprepared to what I was about read. The blurb only gives a slight indication to what the story is about, but what I found, after reading the first few chapters was shocking. Male prostitutes and underage sex? Yeah, it was definitely not something I'd ever read about before, but you know what, this story worked.
After the first few chapters, it's hard not LOVE it and I think the author's did a fantastic job. It's heart-breaking and heart-wrenching to see what these characters go through, but underneath the heart-break, there's hope and kindness and the story became a very touching one.
If you're going to read Finding Home, then you need to have an open mind. Don't judge the characters until you really understand what's it like to be them because in the end, I'm sure you will love it just as much as me.

Finding Home was a daring read. The subject is one most novels don't touch upon, prostitution, and especially male and under-age prostitution and the writer does write about it in an honest way. The protagonists meet on the street, while 23 year old Megan, who is a journalist is writing an article about kids on the street. Just under 18 years old 'Mouth', which is what Sean is called as we first get introduced to him and his world, is called this for his skills with...well, his mouth.

The plot: Megan develops an interest and an affection for him and ends up letting him stay at her place after finding him beaten up one day and soon she is finding out that she cant resist the sexual attraction and fondness between them, despite the fact that he is 5 years younger than her and just under 18.

Tricky subject, thricky plot lines as their fling develops and she has to confront her friends and family who are all against it. The writing is a bit journalistic, not too fancy or literary, but what i loved about this book was the chemistry between the two, how it developed gradually, the author managing to make it come to life so much that you really identified with Megan and her thoughts about Sean, her growing sensations and feelings of his physicality were so well described and the characterization was great.
Sean is an amazing young man (you dont see him as a kid at all, despite his age) and what a hottie!! One of my fav male characters so far! And his dirty past makes him even harder but vunerable as well, which make him irresistible to Megan (and readers alike).

I stayed up till 4am to read the book and now im droping on my keyboard at work, but had to write a few words of praise for a daring concept and a great love story.

This book is fantastic. Really well written, there are a few typos near the end of the book but by then you are so wrapped up in the story you don't even notice. The characters are brilliant and well rounded. At times I felt frustrated with the main character Megan as she can be very insensitive however, this made her seem more believable. There are tricky subjects handled very delicately. I can't say enough good things about this book. More people should read it!
